Tiffin, Ohio Projected	Opening:	August	2011		•		Cost:	$5.2	million University Housing Solutions broke ground on a new 47,000-square-foot residence hall and university commons project at Heidelberg University. Designed by MKC Associates, Inc., the two-story residence hall will house 120 students, primarily sophomores, and will be located central to campus. This is the first groundbreaking for a residence hall on Heidelberg’s campus in 45 years. The building will consist of five two-story pods made up of double and single rooms that will house 24 students. These areas will have their own kitchen, study room, living room, fireplace, balcony, patio, and storage rooms. A common laundry room will also be available to students between the first and second floor hallways of the pod.
Santa Clara University

Northern Lights Restoration, located in Spencer, New York, offers several types of restoration services. They restore facility furniture on site as well as restoring architectural woodwork, refinishing floors, and cleaning upholstery. McShane Construction Company in Rosemont, Illinois, is a national design/build, construction management, and general construction services firm established in 1984. Its headquarters are in Chicago, and its regional offices are located in Phoenix, Arizona; Irvine, California; and Auburn, Alabama. McShane Construction’s expertise includes residential complexes and college and university facilities both on and off campus. MattressGoRound in Greensboro, North Carolina, serves colleges and universities by combining the manufacturing and recycling of mattresses, making it possible to replace dorm mattresses each year. In their program, a new, clean, and sterile mattress is delivered to each residential student every year.

Santa Clara, California Projected	Opening:	August	2011		•		Cost:	$51	million Designed by KTGY Group, Inc., this new eco-friendly residence community at Santa Clara University will house 400 juniors and seniors. The housing complex, which will be constructed by The Sobrato Organization, will offer apartments ranging from one to four bedrooms. Following the guidelines of the Build It Green standards, the complex includes various sustainable features such as solar panels for producing electricity, ENERGY STARrated lighting and windows, and dual-flush toilets. Other amenities offered within the community are a 4,500-square-foot services center with a multipurpose event room in addition to outdoor volleyball courts, a bocce ball court, and barbecue areas.
Montclair State University

Montclair, New Jersey Projected	Opening:	August	2011		•		Cost:	$211	million Designed by PS&S architects, the Heights will feature two complexes with four residential halls connected to each complex. The buildings will house several living-learning communities and will provide a total of 1,978 student beds. Various amenities within the complexes include community lounges, game and recreation spaces, multipurpose rooms, and study areas. One of the complexes will also feature a 600-seat dining hall and dining retail store. Built by Terminal Construction, each of the residence halls has been named after famous individuals from New Jersey who have contributed to the state or community.
University of Auckland

Auckland, New Zealand Projected	Opening:	January	2012		•		Cost:	$52	million Elam Hall will feature 16-story double towers that will provide housing to 442 university students. The residence hall is part of a larger plan for a student village that will house 1,500 students in multiple buildings. Each floor will have a central common room, study room, kitchenette, and shared bathrooms. The hall will also feature outdoor recreation facilities on the decks of two levels and an outdoor recreation court. It is being designed by Warren and Mahoney Architects and built by Hawkins Construction.
