Things are looking good when suddenly a large passenger van strikes a train at a nearby crossing. The violent collision derails multiple train cars and thrusts the van into a campus parking lot less than two blocks from a residence hall. The air fills with an odor of ammonia, a low white cloud of gas is forming, and sand has spilled across the intersection.
