Jill Church is the new director of
residence services. She has served as the
interim director of residence services
since September of 2012. Church
previously held the position of associate
director of residential communities within
the department.
Dennis Gregory is the new assistant
director for assignments and access
control.
Eron Memaj rejoins the staff as a
residence hall director.
Valerie Purdy is the new clerical
coordinator.

The University of Texas
at Austin
Austin, Texas
Charli Bryan is the new hall coordinator
for Brackenridge, Roberts, and Prather
residence halls.
Jane Marie Agnew is the new graduate
assistant for residential engagement.
Courtney McElroy is the new area
manager for Waller Creek Area.
Chelsie McFarland is the new graduate hall
coordinator for Littlefield residence hall.
Denice Vazquez is the new hall
coordinator for Jester Upper West
residence hall.

JD Chancellor, Cody Waterman, and
Tyler Wiersma are new assistant
residence hall directors.

Aaron Voyles is the new area manager
for Jester Center.

Allison Smith is now senior fiscal
manager, having previously held the
position of senior business manager.

Rebecca Windover and Kris Braxton are
new graduate assistants.

San Diego State University
San Diego, California
Darrell Hess is the new associate director
of housing administration. Hess will
provide leadership in the areas of business
support services, long-term planning and
business development, facilities project
coordination, assessment and analysis
efforts, and emergency planning. His
professional leadership experience
includes more than 18 years in higher
education at the University of Tennessee
in Knoxville and DePaul University in
Chicago, Illinois, and includes the past 7
years at San Diego State as an assistant
and then an associate director of
residential education.

Rena Buchan is the new coordinator for
financial and IT services.
Thomas Germain is the new assistant
director of housing for graduate and
family housing.
Jen Gresley is the new residence life
coordinator for the Murphree Area.
Dan Lepper is the new residence life
coordinator for Beaty Towers/Jennings
Area.
Ayesha Rizvi Mian is the new assistant
director of the Innovation Academy.
Dustin Rollins is the new residence
director for Lakeside and coordinator of
social justice education.
Jennifer Todden has taken a position at
the University of Louisville as associate
director of housing for operations and
facilities.

University of the Pacific
Stockton, California
Patrick K. Day is the new vice president for
student life. He will lead Pacific’s division
of student life, which includes a wide range
of student support services such as student
organizations, diversity, housing and
dining, advising, public safety, career
services, health and wellness, and many
others. Previously, Day was the vice
chancellor for student affairs at the
University of Massachusetts Boston.
Day also chairs the James A. Scott
Academy Board of the Student Affairs
Administrators in Higher Education
(NASPA), serving the professional
development needs of chief student affairs
officers internationally. He also chairs the
board of Beacon Academy, an innovative
school for urban students in Boston, and
serves on the board of Bottom Line, a
nonprofit in Boston and New York that
works to increase the access to and
graduation from college for urban students.
Prior to UMass Boston, Day held
student affairs positions at Temple
University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania;
Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte,
North Carolina; and Texas Tech University
in Lubbock. He holds a bachelor’s degree in
education and social policy from
Northwestern University in Chicago,
Illinois, and a master’s in education from
Texas Tech.

Kelly (Johnson) Haag is the new director of
university housing. She had previously
served as interim director since March of
2011. Haag came to UWM as assistant
director of residence life in 2003 and was
promoted to associate director of university
housing in 2007. She received her
bachelor’s degree at the University of
Arkansas in Little Rock and a master’s in
counseling from the University of North
Texas.
