The Core Campus Project
The university is in the process of
replacing what was once the Complex
with a new facility for its upper-division
students: University Pointe. This 532-bed
residence hall will contain four-bedroom,
four-bathroom apartments. The residents
will have access to a fitness center, group
study rooms, a pool, and a courtyard.
They will also benefit from this hall's
ideal location, as it sits between the
university's library, recreational center,
and dining facilities.
Clemson University's two-year construction project is coming to a close, as the Core Campus
Project is nearing completion. This 260,000-square-foot multipurpose facility will house 700
students, have five different retail spaces, and a 900-seat residential dining hall. The center
will also be the new home for the Calhoun Honors College.

Douthit Hills
Projected Opening: August 2018

Cost: $212 million
Douthit Hills will serve its students with a mix of retail space, student amenities, and almost
1,730 beds. It will include three zones: west, east, and central. The west zone will comprise
five- and six-story upper-division residence halls with approximately 970 beds. These
buildings will offer both a mix of studio and two- and four-bedroom apartments. The east
zone will provide 700 beds for freshmen in the Bridge to Clemson Program, which is designed
to help new students become more acquainted with the campus and its activities. Also, it will
offer them on-site classrooms and study areas. The central zone will include a new student
center with a dining facility, bookstore, fitness center, and space for group study and meetings.
