AROUND STUDENT AFFAIRS Salary Survey Reports Slight Increases The 2015-16 Administrators in Higher Education Salary Survey from the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) shows a median base salary increase of 2.1 percent for administrators at all institutions. Last year it was 2.4 percent. Boosting Support for First-Year Students The American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) has launched a three-year project called "Re-Imagining the First Year of College" that is expected to enhance campus support for first-year students and help them make the best academic decisions early on so that they may ultimately graduate. According to an AASCU press release, participating institutions "will form a learning community that reviews and shares evidence-based practices, programs and implementation strategies."
