When campus housing departments consider the challenges of managing an aging housing inventory, much
of the focus may fall on structural issues, aesthetics,
finishings, and other more visible deferred maintenance
considerations. What can't be overlooked, though, are the
issues that come when buildings feature outdated control
systems.

asking a variety of questions related to outsourcing facilities management. When asked to what extent building
automation or management systems are being used, the
survey showed the following results.

having to troubleshoot and manage outdated systems, there
