Cloud Technology and Global Payroll A bi-directional connector between HCM and third-party payroll vendors provides high strategic value for business operations and users (see Exhibit A). The outbound integration sends all HR data changes to third-party payroll vendors. The inbound integration enables the import of actual payroll data, payslips and tax documents from local or global payroll providers into the global HCM platform. Storing payslips or tax documents in a central location along with all global HCM data enables companies to provide their employees selfservice access to payroll documents in the preferred local language, wherever they are located, while leveraging a single security model. The inbound payroll actuals provide high business value to global organizations that have had difficulty getting analyzing their global workforce in the past. Once the actual payroll data has been imported, payroll teams can see the exact amounts paid in the local currency to every employee. In addition, leading payroll cloud solutions offer the ability to report and analyze across global labor costs in a single reporting currency to normalize data across any number of countries for accurate analysis. These solutions often provide dashboards to quickly view overtime costs, employer costs and total labor costs by country, and by job profile, with drilldown to specific locations or worker.
