Kyle Lorentzen has joined Express
Energy Services as executive vice
president and chief financial officer.
Before joining Express, Lorentzen,
a 25-year finance veteran, worked in
senior management roles for companies
throughout the United States. Most
recently, he served as the chief executive
officer for Constellium Ravenswood,
a rolled aluminum products plant in
North America with 900 employees.
Previously, Lorentzen was the chief
operating officer and CFO for Noranda
Aluminum.

TAM Designs Big Packer
For Offshore Application
HOUSTON-TAM International has
unveiled a 22-inch casing annulus packer,
LongCAP®, which it developed for a
major international oil company.
The LongCAP follows the design and
qualification of a 22-inch port collar,
TAM notes. The company says the two
new products offer operators improved
cement integrity to meet higher well
safety standards.
"The development of the new 22-inch
system continues TAM's tradition of providing fit-for-purpose, custom solutions
for our clients' needs," comments Ray
Frisby, the company's vice president of
technology. "The new 22-inch system
further strengthens TAM's position as
the leader in cement integrity products,
offering the most complete range of products in the industry."
The 22-inch LongCAP is ISO 14310
V6 qualified, TAM reports. During the
testing program, which involved multiple
cycles of differential pressure reversals
from above and below the packer set inside
a 33-inch test fixture, the company says
the packer met or exceeded requirements.

The Texas Alliance of Energy Producers has expanded its government relations program by retaining 30-year
veteran Jim Standley as a consultant.
During his career, Standley has developed wide and diverse relationships
with senior legislators, regulators and
their staffs in 15 states and at the federal
level. Most recently, he worked for
LINN Energy, where he established the
government relations department, formed
both Texas and federal political action
committees, and managed all lobbying
efforts.
Standley's past positions include vice
president of strategic planning and industry and regulatory affairs at IHS Inc.
and Colorado state representative to the
Interstate Oil & Gas Compact Commission. He participates in the nationwide
Wounded Warrior program and supports
the Houston Children's Hospital.

Capital and reserve asset management
software firm Energy Navigator has appointed Michael Jegen executive vice
president.
Jegen has served as vice president
of development since 2008. He began
his career as a software engineer with
Energy Navigator, and for the past 16
years has been responsible for implementing improved software development
practices and researching new technologies to drive new software products.
He is a graduate of the University of
British Columbia with a degree in electrical engineering.

Southwestern Energy Co. has promoted Bill Way to president. He will
continue to serve as chief operating officer, a position he has held since joining
the company in September 2011.
Way has three decades of international
oil and gas industry experience, and
has served in multiple operational and
technical leadership roles at BG Group
PLC and ConocoPhillips. He has a B.S.
in industrial engineering from Texas
A&M University and an M.B.A. from
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

TETRA Technologies Inc. has hired
Keith Schilling as senior vice president.
Before Schilling joined TETRA, he

served as vice president of artificial lift,
North America at Schlumberger.
Schilling started his career at Schlumberger in 1995 and held managerial
roles with increasing responsibility, including vice president of wireline, North
America offshore. He earned a B.S. in
chemical engineering from Texas A&M
University and an M.B.A. from Rotterdam University.

A.J. Ferate has been named vice
president of regulatory affairs for the
Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, where he will lead the association's outreach efforts at the Oklahoma
Corporation Commission and other state
and federal regulatory agencies.
Most recently, Ferate served as public
policy coordinator for Oklahoma City's
Devon Energy Corp. Before working
for Devon, Ferate managed the Oklahoma City office of Ryan Glover LLP,
a law firm that focuses on energy policy,
energy regulation, alternative energy
and election law. He also has served
nine years as an intelligence analyst for
the U.S. Naval Reserve.

Quicksilver Resources Inc. has appointed Vanessa Gomez LaGatta its
senior vice president-chief financial officer and treasurer.
LaGatta has served as Quicksilver's
vice president-treasurer since September
2009. She has 15 years' financial experience in the energy industry. During
her tenure with Quicksilver, she has
led several key financial initiatives and
had increasing responsibility in corporate
development and strategic processes.
Before joining the company, LaGatta
served as director of Credit Suisse's investment and corporate banking group.
