The WQA analysis in Figure 5 shows that the inside distance of 1,900 feet might be an optimum distance between laterals for wells in the study. The parameter tracking total number of clusters recognizes that horizontal drilling and multistage, multicluster hydraulic fracturing are the preferred method for Marcellus development. Clearly, longer horizontal laterals with more stages/clusters increase reservoir exposure and produce more gas. As expected, FTA and WGA analyses demonstrate a positive correlation between the number of clusters in a well and its quality. In other words, highperformance wells are those that have been completed with a greater number of stages/clusters. Similar results have been found with regard to slurry and proppant volumes. FTA and WGA analyses show a clearly observable trend in which production performance increases alongside injected slurry volume. The wells' production performance also has a direct correlation with the amount of proppant that is pumped in each stage. The better wells have been treated with more proppant than the lower-quality ones. A similar analysis that uses KPI pattern recognition technology can calculate and What you're reading is more than just copy. It's also copyrighted.
