Offshore Barbados 2-D Data Newly Reprocessed By ION
HOUSTON-ION Geophysical Corp.
has completed the company's Barbados
reprocessing project in coordination with
the announcement of Barbados' 2015
offshore licensing campaign.
According to the company, heightened
interest in oil and gas exploration throughout
the Caribbean has stimulated new licensing
rounds and boosted demand for superior
geophysical data. ION's Barbados reprocessing is a multiclient 2-D seismic program
encompassing more than 9,000 kilometers
of newly imaged prestack time migration
and prestack depth migration data designed
to advance oil and gas companies' understanding of the Tobago Trough, Barbados
Ridge, Barbados Trough forearc basins
and the Outer Deformation Front.
ION says the data originally were captured in 1999, and were reprocessed with

the latest imaging techniques from ION's
GX technology team. Combined with adjacent BasinSPANTM regional data in
Trinidad & Tobago, the project expands
ION's coverage in the eastern Caribbean
and delivers prospect-level data for detailed
exploration.
According to Brian Horn, senior vice
president of the company's E&P Advisors
group, The reprocessed data show significant improvement in resolution, and provide both an exploration-grade grid and a
full regional geological study for evaluating
the hydrocarbon potential offshore Barbados and beyond. "Our goal is to deliver
to prospective bidders the fullest and most
advanced framework, including seismic
ties and conjugates with neighboring
basins and existing wells," he says.

LLC showcased the result of their collaborative design and development efforts
when they unveiled the Altronic Telematics
System at the Gas Compressor Association
Expo and Conference, held April 20-22
in Galveston, Tx.
Combining Altronic's experience in
engine control systems with Enbase's advanced telematics and software engineering
achieves a breakthrough automation platform that the companies say fully integrates
local and remote engine and compressor
control, mobile field operations, and control
room analytics into a single system.
The companies describe the Altronic
Telematics System as an engine and compressor automation platform with built-in
telematics for remote diagnostics and setpoint control. The system includes a stateof-the-art mobile application and analytics
dashboard that drives engine and com-

pressor optimization and uptime performance. Importantly, the companies say, the
system does not require any third-party
hardware nor any field SCADA wiring,
which allows operators and packagers to
receive critical information wirelessly.
According to the companies, improving
remote access to engine control does not
reduce the need for field personnel to
have easy accessibility to this data. For
this reason, they say the Altronic Telematics
System provides the industry's first WiFi human/machine interface, making
secure readings available on Wi-Fi devices
such as smart phones and tablets. The
Wi-Fi capability on the Altronic Telematics
System also allows it to be integrated
with operator SCADA systems without
cable or additional gateways, the companies
say.

Antelope Centralizers Excel
In Tight-Tolerance Sections

HOUSTON-Antelope Oil Tool has
added two centralizers to the CentraMax
series: CentraMax RT1 and CentraMax
PT1.
According to the company, these onepiece centralizers offer an alternative to
centralizer subs in close tolerance applications. They provide low starting and
running forces inside tight tolerance sections, and strong restoring forces to centralize casing string in under-reamed hole
sections, Antelope reports.
The CentraMax RT1 is designed for
both reciprocating and rotating applications,
Antelope says, and is installed over an internal anchor or limiting device. The CentraMax PT1 is pulled when anchoring devices are installed in the windows of the
centralizer's end collars, the company continues.
The centralizers' one-piece design provides superior mechanical integrity, and
high yield and tensile strengths while eliminating the potential for weld failure, Antelope reports.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. has
named Darrell E. Hollek executive
vice president of U.S. onshore exploration and production, replacing
Charles A. Meloy, who will retire in
early June.
Hollek has 35 years' experience
in the oil and gas industry. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of the company's deepwater
Americas operations. He began his
career with Apache in 1980.

TMK IPSCO has appointed Joel
C. Mastervich vice president and
chief operating officer, a role in which
he will be responsible for all operations,
including the company's 12 manufacturing plants in the United States
and Canada.
Mastervich has been involved in
the steel industry for three decades.
Until recently, he was executive vice
president of Vallourec USA. Previously, he was president and chief operating officer of Vallourec Star. Ì
