Centek, Halliburton Unite On New Centralizer Sub

HOUSTON-Centek has launched its
Inter Casing Centralizer Sub (ICCS),
which is designed to be run as part of a
tight tolerance casing string in deepwater,
ultranarrow annulus applications.
Centek notes it collaborated with Halliburton in developing the ICCS. Centek's
patented Under Reamed Offset Bow
(UROS) centralizer technology is installed
on the sub body by Halliburton. The sub
body, manufactured to API 5CT requirements, meets or exceeds all burst, collapse
and tensile ratings, Centek says.
The centralizer is designed and man-

ufactured with minimal clearance to the
casing, and with cross-bow curvatures so
there are no "knife edges," which are
common among standard bow-spring centalizers. Centek says this reduces the risk
of subsea wellhead damage. The company
adds that the centralizer's single-piece
construction eliminates the risk of failure
associated with welded bow-to-end bandtype designs.
Centek says the size range is expected
to be 7¾ inches through 18 inches, or
as required, and the sub body can be
threaded to meet customers' requirements
for the casing string.

Hoover Container Solutions
Unveils Offshore Mud Skips

HOUSTON-Hoover Container Solutions is touting its new mud skip, which
has been certified by the U.S. Department
of Transportation and Det Norske Veritas.
The company says the offshore product
is designed to transport and safely handle
hydrocarbon-contaminated drill cuttings
from offshore platforms to treatment or
disposal sites.
According to Hoover, the patented
roll-back lids with removable crank handles prevent any need to climb on the
units and minimize the risk of accidents.
Additionally, the lightweight, sealed lids
allow the units to be filled to maximum
capacity while preventing spillage during
transportation. The units contain two
four-inch ports for vacuum services, as
well as a pressure relief valve.
The company says the units are stackable to optimize storage and maintain
easy accessibility to upper skip slings,
even when two units are stacked. The
units are equipped with forklift pockets
to allow for easy crane or forklift handling
and transportation, Hoover adds.
Hoover says the mud skip stands 111.0
inches by 72.6 inches by 64.2 inches, and
is available for short- or long-term rental.

Ryder Systems Receives
Truck Company Award

MIAMI-Ryder Systems Inc., which
offers commercial fleet management,
dedicated transportation and supply chain
solutions, was named the 2015 trucking
company of the year at the third annual
Gulf Coast Oil & Gas awards ceremony
in Houston. The company also was a finalist for an award for excellence in the
corporate social responsibility category.
According to Ryder, the awards recognize organizations that are leaders in
their areas of expertise that support the
oil and gas industry.
The Trucking Company of the Year
Award, presented by Kenworth, recognizes
the role that haulage services provide to
the oil and gas industry. Ryder reports it

Emerson Expanding Asset Reliability, Flow Assurance

BOULDER, CO.-Emerson Process
Management says the Micro Motion
F100P and HPC010P Coriolis flowmeters
measure accurate flow rates for wellbore
chemicals injected at high-pressure conditions. Both meters are designed for demanding offshore applications that require
robust performance with low maintenance
needs, the company says, and will allow
operators to confidently monitor chemical
injection to ensure long-term asset reliability and flow assurance.
Emerson describes the F100P as a oneinch meter with a maximum pressure rating
of 6,250 psi that targets the higher flow
rates typical for hydrate inhibitors. The
HPC010P, the company says, is its first ultrahigh-pressure Coriolis meter, and has a
maximum operating pressure of 15,000 psi
to address offshore chemical injection measurement for chemicals such as corrosion,
scale and asphaltene inhibitors.
"These meters are breaking boundaries
for Coriolis meters in high-pressure applications where positive displacement
meters are today's legacy practice," says
Michelle Marceny, specialty products
business manager for Emerson's Micro
Motion business. "Coriolis meters deliver
new value to our customers through more

For Strategic Partnership

HOUSTON-American Electric Technologies Inc.'s business, M&I Electric,
has signed a strategic partnership with
FlexGen® Power Systems for its hybrid
generator for the oil and gas market.
The FlexGen solid state generator
(SSG) can pair with any diesel, dual fuel
or natural gas generator set to improve
power performance and reliability while
reducing fuel consumption, maintenance
and emissions, AETI says.
Under the partnership, M&I will sell,
deploy and service the FlexGen SSG in
key energy markets in the United States,
Canada, Mexico, Asia, South America
and the Middle East. As part of the strategic alliance, the companies say they will

SSG into a drive house.
