Riverstone Holdings LLC
Invests In Rover Petroleum
DALLAS-Newly formed Rover Petroleum LLC has received an equity commitment of as much as $250 million in
funding from Riverstone Holdings LLC.
According to Riverstone, Rover will
pursue a strategy of acquiring and developing conventional oil assets in North
America, concentrating on Texas and
Oklahoma. Rover says it will target
mature, undeveloped oil fields to enhance
through secondary recovery, operational
improvement and conventional exploitation
techniques.
According to Riverstone Managing
Director Brett Staffieri, the firm is excited
to partner with the Rover team. "Conventional resource exploitation has been
a core investment theme since Riverstone
was founded," he relates. "With the team's
exploitation strategy, proven track record
and strong technical capabilities, we believe Rover is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the prevailing oil environment."

Hamm, Warren Receive 2016 Horatio Alger Award
WASHINGTON-The Horatio Alger
Association of Distinguished Americans
Inc., a nonprofit educational organization
honoring the achievements of outstanding
individuals and encouraging youth to
pursue higher education, has awarded
two energy industry leaders the 2016 Horatio Alger Award.
Harold Hamm, founder, chairman and
chief executive officer of Continental Resources, and Kelcy Warren, chairman and
CEO of Energy Transfer Partners join 11
other accomplished business and civic
leaders from across North America in receiving this honor in 2016, the organization
states.
"Since its establishment in 1947, the
Horatio Alger Award is bestowed annually
on recognized leaders who have succeeded
despite facing adversity, and who are
committed to both philanthropy and higher
education," the organization continues.
The 13 honorees in the member class
of 2016 will be welcomed officially into
the organization during the 69th Annual

Horatio Alger Award Induction Ceremonies, March 31-April 2 in Washington.
"I consider myself extremely lucky to
have discovered my passion in life at an
early age," Hamm says. "I always knew
I wanted to work in the oil business, and
I was determined to be successful despite
the challenges that could have thwarted
me. I could not be more grateful to receive
this prestigious award, and I look forward
to meeting the Horatio Alger scholars
and helping them realize their own passions and achieve their dreams."
Warren says he "looks forward to supporting the organization's efforts to develop
America's next generation of leaders."

Kemira Acquires Kansas'
Polymer Services LLC
HOUSTON-Kemira has acquired certain assets of Polymer Services LLC, a
privately owned company headquartered
in Plainville, Ks.
According to Kemira, Polymer Services
focuses on field-testing polymer gel treatments for enhanced or improved oil recovery, and using the latest technology to
blend, apply and monitor field treatments.
"This acquisition demonstrates Kemira's commitment to and continued investment in the oil and gas industry,"
says Tarjei Johansen, president of Kemira's
oil and mining segment. "With it, we can
offer not only tailored polymers for gel
treatments, but we can support operators
from the design phase through treatment
implementation, while providing product,
equipment and services."
The parties say they will not disclose
the transaction price.

Purestream Expanding Water Treatment Systems
SALT LAKE CITY-Purestream Services has signed a contract with a Permian
Basin operator to treat 10,000 barrels a
day of produced and fracture water for
reuse. The company says this contract
will increase the total volume of water
it treats to 45,000 bbl/d.
Purestream says it placed its first
contracted 5,000 bbl/d IGF Plus commercial water treatment system in July
2014 with an oil producer near Midland.
Its latest West Texas project will treat

wastewater at a centralized facility that
services a series of wells. The company
says treated water processed by the system will be reused as part of the producer's integrated water resource conservation effort.
According to Purestream, the IGF
(induced-gas flotation) Plus commercial
system removes suspended solids, oil
and grease to below 5 parts per million
from produced and fracture water. The
automated, modular system may be operated remotely, Purestream points out.
The company adds that it is opening
an office at 2801 WCR 111 in Midland.
