Baker Hughes FieldPulse™ Clariﬁes Asset Performance
HOUSTON-Baker Hughes has released its FieldPulseTM model-based, predictive analytics software, which the
company says enables operators to proactively optimize production across entire
fields by helping them recognize an
asset's performance in real time.
"When operators can predict and mitigate problems that jeopardize production,
they can manage their assets to meet their
maximum potential and deliver the highest
return on investment," says Martin Brudy,
Baker Hughes vice president of reservoir
development services. "The FieldPulse
software gives operators that capability,
helping them to understand in real time
how a field is performing, identify and
target wells with the highest production

potential, and manage the asset accordingly."
FieldPulse can integrate and interpret
large volumes of production data, well
models and well test data from multiple
sources, then help identify and rank underperforming wells, Baker Hughes describes. Key performance indicators such
as rate decline and model deviations are
monitored constantly, and warnings and
alerts accelerate well selection and provide
actionable data to inform operators' well
remediation decisions, the company says.
Because FieldPulse uses existing production and completion databases, operators
need not invest in new sensors, gauges or
databases, the company maintains. It adds
that the software's built-in nodal engine
allows real-time integration between field data and well models
without additional software.

AADE Welcomes Kelly Fox Into Its Fluid Hall Of Fame
HOUSTON-The American Association
of Drilling Engineers Fluids Hall of Fame
inducted Kelly Fox at the 2016 National
Fluid Conference & Exhibition in April.
According to AADE, Kelly was recognized for pioneering a synthetic polymer
that enables producers to use heavy brines
at high temperatures in very deep wells.
He also is known for an innovation that
allows drillers to optimize their extended-reach horizontal wells after fracturing.
AADE adds that the product is a salt-tolerant and temperature-stable friction reducer for coiled tubing and slickwater
fracturing applications.
"The list of hall of fame members includes men and women who have contributed so much useful technology to
our industry. To be included in this group
is an exciting honor for me," Kelly states.

Greene's Louisiana Facility
Obtains API Q2 Certiﬁcation
HOUSTON-Greene's Energy Group
LLC has received American Petroleum
Institute Specification Q2 certification
for its flagship operations center in
Lafayette, La.
The company describes API Q2 as a
new, risk-based quality management system approach that focuses on supply
chain controls, service design, competency,
preventive maintenance, contingency planning and service quality plans, inspection
activities, equipment repair and maintenance, well construction, and servicing
and abandonment. Greene's says the certification requires companies to implement
all of the above QMS procedures, post
consistent results and work to continuously
improve their management systems. It
adds that this certification demonstrates
commitment to exceeding the industry
standard of employing sound procedures
to ensure personnel competency, risk assessment, contingency planning, and other
key QMS practices.

Petrotechnics Signs Pact With Major LNG Operator
HOUSTON-Petrotechnics Ltd. reports
that a major liquefied natural gas operator
has appointed it to deploy its Proscient
software platform at the operator's Gulf
of Mexico facilities. Petrotechnics says
Proscient will help improve operations
and risk management at the LNG terminal
by standardizing initiatives, policies,
processes and procedures across its operations.
According to Petrotechnics, the operator
has the U.S. Department of Energy's approval to export domestically produced
LNG and is in the process of expanding
its natural gas liquefaction and export facility to support commercial operations.
Petrotechnics says it will support the operator's objective to safely and efficiently
increase overall export capacity, helping

it become one of the country's highestvolume exporters.
Proscient enables better operational
decisions by providing stakeholders a
new way to visualize and manage operational risk and activity, Petrotechnics describes. The operator will integrate its
SAP work management data with process

risk management are standardized and
systematized across the business. Proscient
will enable the company to understand
how to best reduce its risk profile and
optimize operations throughout commissioning, facility modification, and ongoing
