HUNT

Hollye Hunt has been named vice
president of legislative affairs for the
Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association and will lead the group's legislative outreach efforts.
Most recently, Hunt served as the
vice chancellor for governmental relations for the Oklahoma State Regents
for Higher Education, where she directed all state and federal legislative
matters. She is a former staff member
for Congressman Tom Cole, R-Ok., and
then-Lieutenant Governor Mary Fallin.
She is a graduate of the University of
Texas and Oklahoma City University
School of Law.

The West Virginia Oil & Natural Gas
Association has hired Anne C. Blankenship as executive director, replacing the
late Nicholas "Corky" DeMarco.
Blankenship has 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Previously, she was an energy attorney at
Babst Calland's Charleston, W.V., office. Before then, she served as
WVONGA chief counsel.

Magnum Hunter Resources Corporation has appointed Matthew H.
Rucker as vice president of resource
development and planning, and Chris
J. Hutchison as manager of marketing
and midstream.
Rucker has 10 years' experience in
the oil and gas industry. Previously, he
served as a production superintendent
for Chesapeake Energy's Utica Shale
production. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and has a
B.S. in petroleum engineering from
Marietta College.
Hutchison has seven years' experience
in energy marketing, including contract
administration, gas scheduling, and commercial and financial evaluations. Before

William "Bill" Wynn Kelly, 65,
passed away on Oct. 18. He was a cofounder of the Virginia Oil & Gas Association and served as its president for
1977-1980. He also served on the Kentucky Oil & Gas Association's Board of
Directors.
Kelly was president of Classic Oil &
Gas Services Inc., in Nicholasville, Ky.,
at the time of his death. A 1973 graduate
of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and
State University, he began his career as
a geologist and inspector for the Virginia
Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy before shifting to the private sector,
where he worked with oil and gas companies in Virginia and Kentucky.
Kelly's numerous energy industry
memberships include the Independent
Oil and Gas Association of West Virginia,
Appalachian Geological Society, Society
of Petroleum Engineers, and American
Association of Petroleum Geologists. ❒

Bradley "Brad" LuVerne Swanson,
69, died on Oct. 28. Before retirement,
he worked for Spectra Energy and was
an active member of the Virginia Oil &
Gas Association, for which he served on
the Board of Directors. His leadership
in the association lasted into retirement
as he continued to coordinate planning
for all VOGA membership meetings.
Swanson attended Emory & Henry
College in Emory, Va. He served in the
U.S. Marine Corps from June 1969 to August 1972, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National
Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal with device, Vietnamese
Service Medal with one star, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry Unit Award,
and Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.
Swanson's early career was as a bank
examiner in Pennsylvania, after which
he returned to Abingdon, Va., to open a
fine dining restaurant before he began
his career in the natural gas industry. ❒

Marty Durbin is assuming an expanded role as the American Petroleum
Institute's executive vice president and
chief strategy officer.
Previously, Durbin was API's executive director for market development.
Prior to that, he was head of America's
Natural Gas Alliance until it merged with
API at the beginning of 2016. Durbin became ANGA chief executive officer in
2013, and previously worked as API's executive vice president.

Microseismic provider ESG Solutions has hired Eric von Lunen as senior adviser for reservoir and rock mass
characterization, and Doug Angus as
adviser on geomechanics. Both will
provide support and leadership across
all ESG business units.
Lunen has 30 years of industry experience across diverse geographies and
areas of geophysics. His skills include
relating microseismic monitoring and
other geophysical methods to unconventional reservoirs and reserve estimation.
Angus is an expert in developing integrated fluid-flow, geomechanical and
seismic modelling algorithms for timelapse seismic and microseismic applications. He joins ESG from the University
of Leeds, where he focused on seismic
geomechanics to address reservoir production and injection challenges.

Oceaneering International Inc. has appointed Stephen P. Barrett senior vice
president of business development.
With 35 years in the oil and gas industry, Barrett joined Oceaneering in
2015 as senior vice president of subsea
products. Before that, he was with FMC
Technologies Inc., where he held various
