HOUSTON-TAM International announces that TAM International Norway
AS has completed its registration as a fully
qualified supplier in the Achilles Joint
Qualification System.
The Achilles JQS prequalifies suppliers

Electrolab Forms Spinoff To Battle Paraffin Buildup
IRVINE, TX.-To meet demand for surface treatments that mitigate the effects of
paraffin and asphaltenes on equipment,
Electrolab announces the formation of e9
Treatments Inc.
The new company says its products will
include a patented nanoscale surface treatment
designed to overcome challenges associated
with paraffin, asphaltene, and other types
of buildup on stainless steel and nickel alloy
components deployed in crude oil operations.
According to the company, the anti-paraffin
treatment bonds covalently with the metal's
substrate to form a permanent, stable bond
that reduces surface tension and heavy hydrocarbons' ability to adhere to the surface.

Halliburton Frac Sleeve Sets Reliability Record
HOUSTON-In an industry record for
operating a toe sleeve, Halliburton reports
that two of its RapidStart® Initiator CT
(casing test) sleeves opened after 32
months down hole.
Halliburton customer Murphy E&P
needed to perform a true casing integrity
test, and also wanted to eliminate operational inefficiencies. The company deployed the RapidStart Initiator fracturing
sleeve system as an interventionless
means of establishing a flow path at the
toe of a well, Halliburton relates.
Both sleeves opened successfully after
32 months down hole. The sleeves were
in separate wells with depths exceeding
7,000 feet and static bottomhole temperatures as high as 215 degrees Fahrenheit, Halliburton recounts. They were
functional at a total pressure of 10,000

only a few nanometers, AP Treatment does
not alter the appearance, functionality or
chemical compatibility of the treated substrate,
the company assures. It adds that since the
treatment creates a molecular bond with

12,000 pieces of stainless steel instrumentation have been treated using the technology.
The company says that with proper application, AP Treatment has a 99 percent success rate.
