The Permian Basin Petroleum Association has added Brittany Kelm to
its staff as communications specialist.
Kelm attended the University of
Texas at Austin, from which she holds
a B.A. in government relations with a
minor in communications. While there,
she was an active member of Young
Conservatives of Texas and interned in
various political offices, including that
of U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, R-Tx. She
also volunteered for the campaigns of
Texas Governor Greg Abbott, U.S. Senator John Cornyn, R-Tx., State Representative Terry Wilson, R-Marble Falls,
and Texas Railroad Commissioner
Wayne Christian.

The Kansas Oil & Gas Resources
Fund, branded Kansas Strong, has hired
Warren Martin as executive director.
Martin has served as executive director of the Kansas Oil Museum in El
Dorado, Ks., since 2015, and held the
same position for the General Tommy
Franks Leadership Institute and Museum in Hobbart, Ok., from 2011-2015.
He is an expert in conducting outreach
programs, developing classroom curricula, designing and building exhibits,
and preparing seminar or workshop
materials.

To align its organization more
closely with market needs, HOERBIGER has restructured its compression technology strategic business unit.
The compressor OEM and compressor
service business areas will remain divisions within compression technology,
while the engine and safety businesses
will become independent divisions.
Udo Bauer will lead the compression technology unit. Previously, he
was president and CEO of Asia Pacific
at the Schaeffler Group, where he supported comprehensive reform of the

company's compression technology activities to focus on international markets
as well as the customer benefits of components and services for the oil, gas and
process industries.
Hannes Hunschofsky will lead the
engine division. He began serving as chief
operations officer in 1999, and later became president of HOERBIGER Corporation of America, as well as COO and
head of the production division in the
compression technology business unit
starting in 2012.
Thorsten Kahlert will manage the
safety division. After studying economics
at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, HEC Paris, and the University of
Minnesota, Kahlert spent 13 years at the
Boston Consulting Group, most recently
as partner and managing director in Munich. As a strategic advisor to HOERBIGER, he helped the company establish
its position in safety technology by playing decisive roles in its acquisitions of
the IEP Technologies, Newson Gale, and
BRILEX brands.

GOODING

CORTEC, a manufacturer of American
Petroleum Institute valves and manifolds,
has appointed Scott Gooding director of
international business development.
Gooding joins CORTEC from National Oilwell Varco, where he served
as vice president of business and product development in Houston. He has
three decades' experience in business
development roles for oil and gas companies.

SCHMIDT

Randy Schmidt has been promoted
to managing director of the Burns & McDonnell's terminals and pipelines group.
He will oversee 140 engineering, procurement, and construction professionals
who are engaged in several large-volume
storage and transportation projects.
During 14 years with Burns & McDonnell, Schmidt has led teams on a
range of projects, including several major
oil and gas pipeline, storage and
loading/unloading facilities for marine,
rail and truck transport. He has 24 years
of professional experience.

Matt Marietta senior vice president of corporate development and investor relations.
Marietta joins Flotek from Stephens
Inc., where he was a publishing sell-side

LEKIC

Borets, a maker of electric submersible
pumps, has named Obren Lekic to serve
as chief executive officer of Borets U.S.
Lekic has 20 years of oil and gas experience. Since joining Borets in 2005,
he has worked to expand the Russian
company into international markets. In
the process, he has served as deputy
general director for business development and marketing, vice president of
the eastern hemisphere for Borets International FZE, and most recently vice
president of business development focusing on U.S. opportunities.
