Noble Selects AFGlobal
To Provide MPD System

HOUSTON-Noble Corporation PLC
has awarded AFGlobal a contract to provide an integrated deepwater managed
pressure drilling system, AFGlobal reports.
The company says the system will be the
most advanced of its kind it has supplied.

will provide a valuable competitive advantage with an expected higher level of

Danos Teams Go Years
Without Safety Incidents

GRAY, LA.-Danos' fabrication services team has gone eight years without
an Occupational Safety and Health Administration-recordable incident. The
company points out that this record represents more than 1.2 million man-hours
at its facilities in Larose and Amelia, La.
"Eight years without an incident is a
record we are all tremendously proud
of," says Executive Vice President Eric
Danos. "It's the result of our companywide
dedication to putting safety at the heart
of everything we do and constantly striving
for improvement."
The company, which is celebrating
its 70th anniversary this year, adds that
crews based at client facilities also are
setting incident-free records. These include
the Harvey Terminal team, with 13 years
and 270,832 man-hours; the crew at an
onshore storage facility in Galliano, La.,
with 15 years and nearly 500,000 manhours; the 10-person Venice shore base
team, with 15 years; and a Danos team
working with a Permian Basin producer,
with two years and 590,000 man-hours.

Covenant Buys Equipment From Key Energy Services
HOUSTON-Covenant Testing Technologies LLC reports it has acquired the
fracture stack and well-testing assets of
Key Energy Services Inc. for a total consideration of $23.7 million. The consideration includes $19.0 million in cash
and a convertible preferred equity security
interest in Covenant representing $4.7
million of principal value.
"These assets will service the growing
demand of our customers in the Permian
Basin, and position Covenant as one of
the largest pure play well-flow management businesses in the United States,"

says Covenant Chief Executive Officer
John Cavitt. "We are honored to have
Key as an equity holder and grateful for
a smooth, accretive transaction for both
parties."
Key President and CEO Robert Drummond says, "This divestiture represents
another milestone in Key's continued
effort to dispose of noncore assets to position the company as a leading production

Liberty Lift Opens Shop To Serve North Dakota
HOUSTON-Liberty Lift Solutions
LLC has opened a shop in Williston,
N.D., to install and service artificial lift
equipment.
The Williston location complements
Liberty's districts in Dickinson, N.D.,
and Crosby, N.D., and diversifies the
company's service capabilities, Liberty
says.
The company points out the Williston
site will be managed by Irvin Ramirez, a
graduate of Texas Tech University with
a mechanical engineering degree. Christopher Hand will support Irvin in the Williston district and manage Liberty's gas lift
product line for the Rocky Mountain region. According to Liberty, he has 10

years of experience in the Rockies doing
gas lift design, nodal analysis, operational
support and technical sales.
"We are very excited to add Ramirez
and Hand to our team of experienced
professionals," comments Logan Evans,
Liberty's gas lift product line manager.
"Adding the Williston location to our
current footprint is a strategic and crucial
part of our expansion plans. While Williston initially will focus on gas lift, it soon
will have capabilities to handle pumping
unit sales and services, and hydraulic jet
pumps."
