CARTER

Danos has promoted Clay Carter
to coatings operations manager. He
has served as acting coatings operations manager since 2016.
A native of Sugar Land, Tx., Carter
attended the U.S. Naval Academy and
went on to serve six years in the Navy.
He joined Danos in 2013 as a project
manager. In 2016, he moved up to senior
project manager as he began to oversee
the company's coatings operations. r

Hunting PLC has promoted Arthur
James "Jim" Johnson from chief operating officer to chief executive.
Johnson joined Hunting in 1992 and
became COO in 2011. In that role, he
managed the company's day-to-day operations, overseeing regional managers
in Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, the
Middle East and North America. From
2000 to 2011, Johnson served as managing director of U.S. operations. r

has appointed Joseph S. Compofelice
chairman and chief executive officer.
Compofelice has held a series of
management positions in the oil field
services industry at Smith International
(now part of Schlumberger) and NL
Baroid (now part of Halliburton). In addition, he served as founder and CEO
of Aquilex Service Co., a provider of
downstream services to the processing
and energy industries. Compofelice is
an operating partner at private equity
firm White Deer Energy.

Jagged Peak Energy Inc. has appointed J. Jay Stratton Jr. as executive vice president and chief operating
officer.
Most recently, Stratton was COO
of Permian Resources LLC, the successor to American Energy Partners'

Energy XXI Gulf Coast Inc. has appointed Tiffany J. Thom as chief financial officer.
Thom has more than 20 years of financial and operational experience.
Most recently, she served as CFO of
KLR Energy Acquisition Corp. from
January 2015 until April 2017, when it
merged with Tema Oil and Gas Co. to
form Rosehill Resources Inc. Before
that, she served in positions of increasing responsibility at EPL Oil & Gas Inc.,
including executive vice president and
CFO, from October 2000 until its acquisition in 2014 by Energy XXI Ltd. From
1992 to 2000, she was a senior reservoir
engineer for Exxon Production Co. and
ExxonMobil Co.

BCCK Holding Co., a provider of engineering, procurement, fabrication and
field construction services, has appointed
Matt Amilian as director of business development to support growth in the Oklahoma, Appalachian and Rocky Mountain
regions.
Amilian joins BCCK from Condit
Co., where he served as gas processing
market manager. He is vice president of
the Gas Processors Association's MidContinent midstream chapter and a member of the midstream chapters for the
Rocky Mountain and Permian Basin. r

David Cecil has joined Southwestern
Energy Corp. as its executive vice president of corporate development.
Cecil comes from Lazard, where he
served as managing director and head of
the North American exploration, drilling
and production group beginning in 2012.

He has experience advising energy
companies on strategy, business development and capital allocation. Previously, Cecil was managing director of
Scotia Waterous (USA), the oil and
gas arm of Scotiabank, where he led
the U.S. energy investment banking
practice.

VELASCO

The Texas Railroad Commission
has named Aaron Velasco, a professor
of geological sciences and director of
interdisciplinary initiatives at the University of Texas at El Paso, as its seismologist. In this role, Velasco will
serve on the Governor's Technical Advisory Committee for the TexNet Seismic Monitoring Program; work with
RRC staff to ensure disposal well permits include requirements to prevent or
minimize induced seismic activity; and
advise the RRC on issues related to
seismicity and energy production. r

KARL
BLANCHARD

Weatherford International PLC has
named Karl Blanchard its executive
vice president and chief operating officer.
Blanchard has 35 years of experience in the oil field services sector.
Most recently, he served as COO for
Seventy Seven Energy, where he oversaw drilling, pressure pumping and
rental tool operations.
