Gardner Denver Optimistic
About 2018 Activity, Sales
HOUSTON-Gardner Denver Petroleum & Industrial Pumps (P&IP) announces
a significant sale of PXL2000HP drilling
pumps to a Rocky Mountain region contract driller.
"We are thrilled to see expansion of
these high-pressure pumps in a very tight
market," comments Kevin Parks, key account sales manager at Gardner Denver
P&IP. "We are confident our PXL2000HP
drilling pumps will enhance the company's
rig offerings, increase performance in

The onshore drilling sector is showing
signs of recovery, and drilling companies

DALLAS-Oilfield Water Logistics
(OWL) and Boyd & McWilliams, a privately-held Midland Basin operator, have
executed a long-term produced water
gathering and disposal agreement.
According to OWL, the agreement allows Boyd & McWilliams to direct more
capital and operating attention to developing its oil and gas assets and dedicates
its unique acreage position in Winkler
County, Tx., to OWL in order to expand

permanent water handling infrastructure
in the region.
"This agreement is a win-win, allowing
Boyd & McWilliams to reduce capital
expenditures and lease operating expenses,
and focus on oil, while providing us the
opportunity to expand our midstream
water systems," says OWL Chief Executive
Officer Chris Cooper.

Yangarra, NCS Perform 135-Stage Completion
CALGARY-Yangarra Resources Ltd.
and NCS Multistage Holdings Inc. report
they have completed a 135-stage, recordbreaking well in the Western Canadian
Sedimentary Basin's Cardium Formation
in 116 operating hours.
The well was completed in a single
coiled-tubing run with 7.4 million pounds
of proppant placed at an average fracturing
rate of 34.6 barrels a minute, NCS relates.
The company says the completion alternated between single- and double-casing
joint spacing between fracture sleeves,

enabling Yangarra to optimize the well's
lateral section and better understand the
impact of increased fracture intensity on
stage isolation effectiveness.
NCS Multistage Vice President Shawn
Leggett reflects on the importance of this
treatment: "Understanding the effectiveness of fracture stage isolation is an essential first step in optimizing completion
designs that result in better wells," he
says.

it describes as an on-engine, integrated
speed control for natural gas engines.
The company says the ActuCOM
R8 can be applied as a smart actuator
for virtually any appropriate engine,
compressor or pump-related function
currently managed by an alternative solution, including waste gates, restrictors
and louver controls.
Housed in a robust, machined aluminum assembly, the ActuCOM R8 is
built for long-term, reliable service in
demanding physical environments, Altronic assures. The company says it designed the actuator as a convenient, dropin replacement for a number of competitive, integrated gas engine governor modules and associated wiring harnesses.

According to Altronic, the ActuCOM
R8 delivers operating expense value in

motor provides smooth and precise actuator and engine speed control, the
company reports. It adds that a field
technician or mechanic can replace the
back plate, which contains the system's
electronics, without complete disassembly
of the actuator from the engine.
