PATERSON

Weir Oil & Gas has hired David Paterson as president of pressure pumping.
Paterson has two decades of oil and
gas experience, most recently as president
of artificial lift at Schlumberger. He
joined Schlumberger as a field engineer
with Dowell in 1995 and worked in
field, operational and management roles
of progressing responsibility, including
global product lines vice president and
drilling group vice president for Asia,
as well as geoservices president.

API has promoted Rolf Hanson to
vice president of state government relations. He will lead the organization's
legislative and regulatory policy advocacy
throughout the nation and oversee state
petroleum council offices in 34 states.
Hanson joined API in 1999. Since
2011, he has served as senior director
of state government relations. Other
past roles include associate director for
API's Minnesota/Wisconsin field office
and executive director for the Iowa/Nebraska and Pennsylvania offices.

Laredo Petroleum Inc. has promoted
T. Karen Chandler to senior vice president and chief operating officer.
Chandler joined Laredo in 2012 and
has served as vice president of operations
since 2016. Before Laredo, she spent
15 years at ExxonMobil, performing
managerial and technical functions related to drilling, completions and technology development.

Huntley & Huntley Energy Exploration LLC, which develops natural gas
in the Appalachian Basin, has named
John Applegath senior vice president
and chief operating officer.
Applegath joins HHEX after retiring
from Range Resources, where he served

Wood has established a brownfield
modifications group in its Asset Solutions
Americas business and appointed Gilberto
Ordonez its senior vice president of
brownfield solutions.
Ordonez has 20 years of experience in
the energy industry, including roles in
engineering, procurement and construction
project delivery, business development
and project management. He is rejoining
Wood to assume his new role, having
previously spent 19 years with the company
in Houston, Latin America, Oman and
the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. r

SAU-WAI
WONG

Sau-Wai Wong has joined Premier
Oilfield Group as vice president of technical software. His responsibilities include
leading development of StimPlan™, the
company's software for optimizing hydraulic fracturing operations.
Wong's career spans 30 years and 10
countries. He is most noted for his geomechanics work, having served as principal
technical expert in geomechanics for
Shell's worldwide operations. His U.S.
assignments for Shell included subsurface
technology manager for unconventional
oil and research and development manager
for unconventional gas technology. r
Tim Sulser has joined Whiting Petroleum Corp. as chief corporate development and strategy officer. He will be
responsible for corporate planning, business development, acquisitions and divestitures, and exploration.

Sulser previously served as chief executive officer of Salt Creek Oil and
Gas LLC and as director of investment
banking for Tudor Pickering & Holt. r

CHARLIE
DOUCET

Charlie Doucet has been named director of business development for C.H.
Fenstermaker & Associates LLC. He
previously served as energy market
leader for the firm, which he joined in
January of 2015.
Doucet is a former member of the
Lafayette Association of Petroleum
Landmen and served as its director in
1993. Today, he is part of the West
Houston Association of Petroleum
Landmen.

Parsley Energy Inc., a Permian Basinfocused independent, has hired David
Dell'Osso as executive vice presidentchief operating officer.
Dell'Osso comes to Parsley from
Southwestern Energy Co., where for
the past 13 years he served in positions
of increasing responsibility, most recently
as senior vice president and general
manager of the Northeast Appalachia
division. His other roles there included
managing exploration and production,
midstream and commercial teams. r
Noble Energy has named Brent
Smolik president and chief operating
officer.
Smolik has 35 years of oil and gas
experience. His past leadership roles
include chairman, president and chief
executive officer of EP Energy Corp.;
president of El Paso Corp.'s exploration
and production company; president of
ConocoPhillips, Canada; president of
Burlington Resources, Canada; and vice
president and chief engineer at Burlington Resources Inc.
