Efficient Friction Reducer
Saves Money During Fracs
HOMER CITY, PA.-Chemstream
Oilfield Services' hydraulic fracturing
friction reducer, StimSTREAM FR 9800,
has decreased friction reducer usage as
much as 40 percent and cut chemical
costs for six natural gas producers in
the Appalachian basin, the company
says.
The friction reducer has been deployed
successfully on multiple well stages and
lateral evaluations, reports Chemstream
President Dave McCombie. "This technology is capable of helping operators
lower costs and stimulate reservoir volumes at higher treatment rates for better
well production," he says.
The StimSTREAM FR 9800 decreases
friction reducer usage while maintaining
lower pumping pressures at rates exceeding
100 barrels a minute, the company details.
It adds that the reducer works well in
low-quality fluids composed primarily of
produced water.

Eagle Field Tech Software Helps Water Management
DENVER-Eagle Field Tech, a new
entity of Eagle Automation, announces
it has acquired fieldFLOW™ software
from Cartasite LLC.
According to Eagle Field, fieldFLOW
is a complete digital solution that connects
oil and gas producers with water hauling
companies, providing a transparent digital
custody record of water volumes hauled,
along with time stamps, geolocation data
and confirmation of delivery to a water
recycling or disposal facility. Eagle Field
says the software can eliminate the safety
risks to pumpers and haulers associated
with climbing on top of water tanks to
gauge volumes.
For operators, Eagle Field says the
software supports full integration with
production and SCADA systems to provide
an end-to-end workflow, including notifying haulers when loads need to be
picked up and confirming deliveries. For
haulers, it includes a sophisticated dispatch
center to optimize load prioritization,
recommend truck routes, confirm pickup and delivery, and seamlessly hand in-

HOUSTON-The MILLITE™ lightweight fracture plug from Baker Hughes,
a GE company, mills out smoothly and
cleans up easily, BHGE says.
Because it is constructed completely
out of an engineered alloy and does not
contain any heavy metal or ceramic
parts, BHGE says the MILLITE is the
lightest conventional plug on the market.
The plug's wear- and preset-resistant
design virtually eliminates preset risks,
enabling safe run-in rates exceeding
600 feet a minute, the company adds.
The field-ready wireline adapter kit simplifies assembly, while the friction-slip
anchoring system and packing element
keep the plug firmly anchored in the

casing at pressures as great as 10,000
psi, BHGE continues.
Transitions among composite, cast
iron and ceramic materials often cause
rate of penetration fluctuations as each
plug is milled, BHGE notes, accelerating
tool wear and at times requiring additional
trips. The company says the MILLITE
mills more rapidly and more easily with
less torque, helping to improve motor
life and reduce drilling costs. With a
specific gravity of 1.8, BHGE says the
plug's fine debris float up and out of the
well without the aid of additional cleaning
sweeps or costly chemicals.

Zahroof Valves Expands
To Meet Future Growth
HOUSTON-Zahroof Valves Inc.
(ZVI) has relocated and expanded its
reciprocating compressor valve operations. The company says the new Houston
facility triples office and production
space, and incorporates a more efficient
