To Expand Turbine Fleet
DENVER-Flex Leasing Power and
Service LLC (FLPS) announces it has
closed on a senior secured credit facility
with Texas Capital Bank to finance the
expansion of its fleet of Flex Turbines®
in 2019 and beyond.
The company says the funds will help
increase the size of its fleet 30 percent
this year, bringing its total installed capacity to 50 megawatts by year end.
FLPS reports it is experiencing rapid
growth as unconventional developments
increase oil and gas producers' need for
high-quality base load electric power.
"Growing market acceptance of our
oil field power offerings is driving demand
faster than expected," says Doug Baltzer,
the company's president. "Oil and gas
producers with active drilling programs
need high-quality, clean and reliable
power for field operations and facilities.
The Flex Turbine is the most reliable

percent uptime last year.
"With its wide fuel tolerance, (the
turbine) can use untreated wellhead gas
without special configuration," he adds.
"Modularity means several units can be

power capacity up or down, as demand

Gravity Purchases Assets
For Handling Bakken Water
MIDLAND-To strengthen its water
management solutions in the Bakken play,
Gravity Oilfield Services Inc. has acquired
water disposal infrastructure from MBI
Oil & Gas LLC., Gravity reports. Terms
of the transaction were not disclosed.
"The strategic acquisition of the MBI
facilities adds additional scale in the core
of a premier oil and gas producing region,
while expanding support of our existing
customer base and creating important
new relationships," enthuses Rob Rice,
Gravity's chief executive officer.
Clearlake Capital Partners Group LP,
whose affiliates back Gravity, says the
transaction "accelerates Gravity's transformation into a leading water midstream
platform with national operations supported by critical assets in key plays
throughout the country."

Tenaris To Open Facility For Making Sucker Rods
HOUSTON-Tenaris has unveiled
plans to open its sucker rod manufacturing facility in Conroe, Tx., in July.
"With this investment, we are better
positioned to serve our customers in the
U.S. shales in their artificial lift operations,
offering a wide range of locally produced
products, and with the support of our
new service center in Midland, we also
have the flexibility to respond quickly
and efficiently," says Luca Zanotti, Tenaris
president for the United States.
The $70 million facility-which
Tenaris notes it built in 2017 but delayed
opening because of the industry downturn-includes equipment for nondestructive testing, a quality testing labo-

ratory, robotized forging lines, and heat
treatment, threading and finishing
processes. The company adds that the
rod mill has an on-site training facility
and classroom.
The new mill has the capability to
manufacture BlueRod® premium sucker
rods and X-Torque rods, as well as the
entire range of API sucker rods for
beam and progressive cavity pumping,
Tenaris says. Sucker rods produced at
the facility will be sent to customer
sites or stored at Tenaris' new sucker
rod service center in Midland, which
was inaugurated in December.
