BP Selects TechnipFMC
For Thunder Horse Work
HOUSTON-TechnipFMC announces
it has been awarded an integrated engineering, procurement, construction and
installation (iEPCI™) contract by BP
for the Thunder Horse South Expansion
2 Project.
The contract calls for TechnipFMC
to manufacture, deliver and install subsea
equipment, including subsea tree systems,
manifolds, flowline, umbilicals and subsea tree jumpers, pipeline end terminations, subsea distribution and topside
control equipment, TechnipFMC describes. The company points out it received an iEPCI contract from BP for
Atlantis Phase 3 in January.
"This award confirms the trust we
have built over the long term with BP,
and demonstrates the continued adoption
of our iEPCI offering," says Arnaud
Pieton, TechnipFMC's subsea president.

SES, RPS Group Partner To Increase Asset Integrity
HOUSTON-Stress Engineering Services Inc. and RPS Group report they have
integrated their respective products-
NeoSight FPS, a digital twin for floating
production systems, and OceansMap, a
weather and metocean data visualization
tool-as a pilot program for Shell. The
companies say the combined products
significantly improve management of
floating production facilities.
The pilot program provides Shell with
automation, digitalization and data analysis techniques that empower users to
make more informed decisions, the companies say. The pilot focuses on facility
motions, riser and tendon response information and environmental data, but
SES and RPS report that future phases
will incorporate other asset information
to provide a single-pane solution for
monitoring system performance.

Cudd Orders Frac Trailers Powered By MTU Engines
HOUSTON-By placing a large order
for 3001Q trailer-mounted fracturing
units, Cudd Energy Services has become
the first company to invest significantly
in the MTU 16V 4000 T95 frac engine,
announce Rolls-Royce Power Systems
and its partner Stewart & Stevenson
Manufacturing Technologies.
The MTU 16V 4000 T96 is the only
engine for hydraulic fracturing to meet
the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency's Tier 4 emission standards
without exhaust gas aftertreatment,
Rolls-Royce says. Instead, the engine
manages emissions through exhaust gas

recirculation, a technique MTU reports
has proven reliable in even the toughest
conditions.
When combined with MTU's fourthgeneration common rail injection system
and two-stage turbocharging, exhaust gas
circulation allows the MTU Series 4000
to reduce emissions without compromising
performance, Rolls-Royce assures. In
fact, the engine can produce as much as
3,000 horsepower, which the company
says makes the 16V 4000 T95 the most
powerful frac engine in its class.

LAGCOE Exhibit Space
Grows To Meet Demand
LAFAYETTE, LA.-LAGCOE announces that it is expanding its technical
exposition and conference, LAGCOE
2019, which is scheduled to be held Oct.
9-11 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention
Center in New Orleans.
The event will unite global industry
leaders and showcase the latest energy
innovations, LAGCOE says. When the
space originally allocated for exhibitors
came close to selling out in May, five
months ahead of the event, the organization
relates, it decided to open a second hall,
a possibility enabled by the convention
center's size. The expansion gives this
year's gathering the largest indoor exhibit
square footage in the event's 64-year history, LAGCOE notes.
The organization attributes the influx
of exhibitors in part to an uptick in the
oil and gas industry and to growing enthusiasm about the show's move from
Lafayette to New Orleans.
"It is exciting to see our LAGCOE
community that now is so spread out
continue to move forward and do what is
necessary to embrace the change," says
Greg Stutes, an engineer with Completion
Specialists Inc. who serves as LAGCOE's
chairman. "The need to open more floor
