PWPS' Mobile Turbines
Aid Electric Frac Fleets

Services, PWPS reports.
In fall 2018, USWS selected PWPS'
FT8 MOBILEPAC 30-megawatt, aero-derivative gas turbines to power its patented
Clean Fleet® technology, PWPS recalls.
The company says USWS needed mobile
power generation equipment that would
work in areas with limited space, handle
large and sudden changes in power demand, run quietly, and demobilize, move to
a new site and start with minimal resources.
The first turbine delivered to USWS
was mobilized to its first pad in January
2019. It had no trouble handling instantaneous and significant load changes, operated with less noise than the equipment
previously used, and moved to the next
site in less than 48 hours, PWPS reports.
Since then, PWPS says three more
MOBILEPAC units have been deployed
by USWS in Texas and Pennsylvania. The
units have operated consistently and completed work on numerous pads through the
first half of 2019, PWPS relates.
"Using the MOBILEPAC unit has allowed us to reduce the amount of equipment, complexity, personnel, cost and
mobilization times required to complete
jobs," says USWS Chief Executive Officer Joel Broussard. "This technology is
critical to the growth of our business."

PDS To Run Exchange For Mitigating Frac Hits
AUSTIN, TX.-PDS Energy Information announces it has assumed commercial operation of the Frac Interference
Exchange (FracX), a reciprocal data sharing network previously developed and
operated by one of the largest Permian
Basin operators to coordinate hydraulic
fracturing activity among producers.
According to PDS, FracX mitigates
the risk of fracture hits by enabling producers to seamlessly share information
about their frac operations. Operators upload their frac schedules to the cloudbased exchange, where regional data is
aggregated. Producers can then share risk
assessments and take appropriate action
to prevent frac hits, including shutting-in

nearby producing wells or modifying frac
operations, PDS describes.
"Producers need to share information on
their frac jobs with each other for a number
of safety and economic drivers," says Barry
Barksdale, president and founder of PDS.
"By deploying FracX on our leading data
sharing network, PDS is bringing transparency to all stakeholders while ensuring
data privacy so operators can rapidly identify potential drilling and fracing conflicts."
The free exchange includes all major
Permian Basin producers and a growing
list of producers in other North American
plays, PDS reports.
