considering what may lie ahead, Shepperd
indicates.

Why We Will Never Run Out of Energy,
Mills' articles have been published in
the Wall Street Journal, USA Today and
Real Clear, and he has appeared as a
guest on CNN, Fox, NBC, and PBS, and
on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

his global energy analysis and ability to
break down important things occurring
around the globe that are impacting the
industry," Shepperd says. "Nobody has a

crystal ball, but he will be able to give us
his insights about the long-term impact
on markets from the bombing of Saudi
Arabian oil facilities. Events are always
going to affect the markets, whether it is
trade negotiations between the United
States and China, demand in India or instability in the Middle East. Those are

changes in state-level programs that were
not necessarily geared specifically toward
oil and gas operations, but that greatly
impact operations, such as property tax
and school finance reform."
Representative Tom Craddick, R-Midland, considered the dean of the Texas
House and chairman of the House Land
and Resource Management Committee,
is expected to participate, and other lawmakers on the House Energy and Senate
Natural Resources committees also have
been invited, Shepperd says.
Discussion also is planned on infrastructure, water and take-away capacity,
Robertson explains.
"Take-away capacity has been an issue
out here for so long, and while some of
the strain has been alleviated with the addition of new pipelines as production continues to ramp up, that capacity still can
be tight without more pipeline development," he assesses. Speakers likely will
address whether additional take-away capacity will create bottlenecks at Gulf Coast
export terminals, Robertson says.
