PESCO, BayoTech Partner To Help Reduce Emissions
FARMINGTON, N.M.-Process Equipment & Service Company Inc. reports it
has begun manufacturing compact, modular hydrogen generation units for BayoTech designed to help producers reduce
emissions.
These portable, skid-mounted units
convert flared or stranded natural gas
into clean-burning hydrogen, enabling
on-site use of hydrogen-powered fracturing equipment or fuel cell-based electricity generation, PESCO describes.
The units work anywhere with ready

supplies of natural gas and water, the
company says, noting that they convert
the gas through a proprietary application
of steam methane reforming.
The underlying technology originated
from Sandia National Laboratories following $50 million of research and development and is licensed solely to BayoTech, PESCO mentions.

Royale Energy Places Wells Into Production
SAN DIEGO-Royale Energy Inc. has
completed and put into production two
vertical oil wells in its North Jameson
Field in Nolan County, Tx.
The McCabe No. 61 was completed in
the Strawn Formation, pumping at a rate
of 106 barrels of oil a day, 40 Mcf a day
of natural gas and no water. The well has
25 feet of net oil pay, the company says.
The McCabe No. 62 was completed
in the Odom Formation, pumping at 110
bbl/d. The formation has 24 feet of net
oil pay.
Royale Energy says McCabe No. 62
was drilled as an infill evaluation of the
Odom and Strawn formations. It adds

Access to DELFI Platform
LONDON-Schlumberger, IBM and
Red Hat announce they are collaborating
to accelerate the oil and gas industry's
digital transformation. This initiative will
provide global access to Schlumberger's
cloud-based exploration and production
environment and cognitive applications
by leveraging IBM's hybrid cloud technology, which is built on the Red Hat
OpenShift container platform.
OpenShift will enable Schlumberger
to deploy its DELFI cognitive exploration
and production environment across any
infrastructure, from traditional data centers to multiple private or public clouds,
the partners say. They point out that this
new way of hosting will allow use of
multiple cloud providers and facilitate
in-country deployments often required
to meet local regulations and data residency requirements.

Dover Opens R&D Facility
For Bearings, Compressors
DOWNERS GROVE, IL.-Dover Precision Components announces it has
opened an innovation lab in Houston to
facilitate product development.
The 12,000 square foot building will
centralize the company's test rigs for hydrodynamic fluid film bearings and reciprocating compressor components and
bring together the research and product
development teams, Dover reports. Waukesha Bearings and Cook Compression will
conduct tests at the facility to validate designs and analytical methods, evaluate
performance and reliability, verify solutions
under real machine conditions and develop
next-generation technologies, Dover continues.

an exciting milestone for Dover Precision
Components," comments Jane Kober, the
company's vice president of innovation

CGG Introduces WellPath To Speed Well Planning
PARIS-CGG GeoSoftware's InsightEarth® 3-D visualization and interpretation software suite now includes
WellPath, which the company describes
as a new 3-D well path planning solution
for optimizing well placement.
WellPath shows complex subsurface
drilling environments in 3-D so drillers
can quickly plan and quality check horizontal wells on high-density, multilateral
pads or large offshore platforms, CGG
says. According to the company, the software enables drillers to optimize plans
based on fractures, facies, geobodies and
reservoir attributes while avoiding hazards,
legacy wells and recent completions.
WellPath can integrate all available
geological and geophysical data and interpretations with the locations and paths
for planned and existing wells, as well

as cultural data, CGG says. The software
can perform accurate anticollision calculations and generate reports for all
wells/scenarios, CGG reports, cutting
planning cycle time from several weeks
to a single morning.
