Lufkin Industries Obtains
Schlumberger's Rod Lift
MISSOURI CITY, TX.-KPS Capital
Partners company Lufkin Industries reports
it has acquired Schlumberger's North
American land rod lift business.
According to Lufkin, the rod lift business is a large provider of rod lift products
and services in onshore North America,
with brands including Don-Nan, Shores
Lift Solutions, KBA Engineering, Platinum
Pumpjack Services and RLC Rod Lift
Consulting. The business provides a full
product offering, including downhole
pumps and accessories, beam pumping
units, sucker rods and gas lift products.
The rod lift business has significant
manufacturing and distribution capacity
and has developed differentiated technology offerings, including the proprietary
PumpTrak software, Lufkin adds. It also
highlights the business's expansive footprint across all major oil-producing regions
in onshore North America, including the
Permian Basin, where Don-Nan has operated for almost 60 years.

Evolution, Arundo Partner To Apply AI To Fracturing
THE WOODLANDS, TX.-Evolution
Well Services LLC, which operates electric
frac fleets, and Arundo Analytics, a
provider of machine learning and analytics
software, announce they are collaborating
to improve hydraulic fracturing operations.
" By partnering with Arundo, we aim
to further push the limits of what is possible
in hydraulic fracturing and continue lowering our customers' cost to produce oil
and natural gas in an environmentally
friendly manner, " says Nick Ruppelt, Evolution's director of sales and marketing.

BKV Expands Into Barnett By Buying Devon Assets
DENVER-Banpu Kalnin Ventures
Corp. announces that its affiliate, BKV
Barnett LLC, has closed a deal to acquire
Devon Energy Corp.'s Barnett Shale assets
for $570 million, plus up to $260 million
in payments over the next four years
based on oil and gas prices.
The properties' net production averaged nearly 600 million cubic feet equivalent a day in the third quarter of 2019,
BKV says. Once the transaction is complete, BKV calculates it will have 345,000
net acres in the Marcellus and Barnett,
operate 4,000 producing wells and have
proved reserves exceeding 3.7 trillion
cubic feet equivalent.
" We are excited to complete this acquisition in the Barnett Shale, and we
believe natural gas is the bridge fuel of
the future, " comments Christopher Kalnin,

Two SWD Operators Merge To Better Serve Appalachia
MARIETTA, OH.-DeepRock Disposal
LLC and Fountain Quail Energy Services
LLC announce they have closed a merger
of Fountain Quail's saltwater disposal
assets with Deeprock's Marietta-based
saltwater disposal facility.
The combined company, which will
operate as DeepRock Disposal, describes
itself as one of the largest saltwater
disposal well operators in the Appalachian
Basin with 12 wells at five class II underground injection control facilities located in Ritchie County, W.V. and the
Ohio cities Dexter City, Marietta, Portland
and Reno. These wells have a total capacity
of 50,000 bbl/d water, DeepRock says,
adding that it has several permits in hand
for capacity expansions.
