NOW Inc. To Buy Provider
Of Horizontal Jet Pumps
HOUSTON-NOW Inc. announces it
has entered an agreement with GR Energy
Services to acquire substantially all the
assets for GR's Flex Flow business, which
rents, sells and services surface-mounted
horizontal pumping systems and horizontal
jet pumping systems. Terms of the allcash transaction were not disclosed.
David Cherechinsky, president and
chief executive officer of NOW Inc., comments, " We are excited about the opportunity to add the Flex Flow business to
DistributionNOW. With its established
position in the horizontal multistage centrifugal pump packages and water management solutions market, Flex Flow will
provide numerous attractive opportunities
in the midstream space for DNOW. "
Flex Flow is based out of Midland
and currently serves the Permian,
Bakken/Rocky Mountain and Mid-Continent regions, NOW describes.

Enteq Developing Tool
For At-Bit Geosteering
HOUSTON-Enteq Upstream announces it is launching a novel alternative
to traditional rotary steerable systems for
directional drilling: the SABER Tool
(Steer-At-Bit Enteq Rotary Tool).
The SABER Tool uses internally directed pressure differentials to steer from
the drill bit face and deliver true at-bit
geosteering, Enteq says. This mechanically
simple design removes the need for traditional pistons and pads, which can be
susceptible to wear and reliability issues,
Enteq reports. The company adds that
the tool's approach delivers a smoother
and more precise wellbore with easy directional control.
Enteq relates it licensed the designs
and intellectual property from Shell in
September 2019, following successful
initial trials. Since then, a team with 150
years' experience in directional drilling
has re-engineered the concept to deliver
a mechanically simple, plain collar and
compact design that promises excellent
control and new levels of reliability, Enteq
says. The company indicates the tool is
ready for next-stage field trials.

Kpler, a provider of data and analytics
on commodity markets, has appointed
Richard Quin its chief strategy officer.
Quinn joins Kpler after two years as
chief of staff at Trustpilot, a consumer
review platform. Before that, he worked
for Verisk Analytics as a vice president
of corporate development and strategy
responsible for international growth
strategies, particularly ones related to
energy. Before Verisk, he held numerous
roles at Wood Mackenzie.

has promoted Philip A. Dalrymple from
vice president of operations to senior vice
president of operations, Scott A. Keller
from vice president of marketing and
sales to senior vice president of business
development, Katherine Kokenes from
chief accounting officer to vice president
and chief accounting officer, and Marc
S. Noel from director of marketing to
vice president of sales and marketing. ❒
Select Energy Services Inc. has appointed John D. Schmitz its chief executive officer and president. He will
continue to serve as chairman of its
board of directors.
Schmitz has chaired the board since
December 31, 2019 and served as executive chairman from November 2017
until December 31, 2019. Before the
company's combination with Rockwater
Energy Solutions Inc., Schmitz served
as the CEO and chairman from November 2016 through November 2017
and served as CEO and Chairman of
Select and predecessor entities since
the company was founded as Peak Oilfield Services LLC in 2007.
Schmitz also founded and developed
other successful businesses, including
Silver Creek Oil & Gas, Complete Production Services and CP Energy.

The Marcellus Shale Coalition has
named David Callahan its president.
Callahan joins the MSC from JKLM
Energy, where he was vice president of
external affairs. He has been involved
with the MSC since its founding, serving
in numerous board and committee capacities as well as the lead government
affairs staff role. Before JKLM, he
worked as vice president at MarkWest
Energy Partners, as vice president of
the MSC and in leadership roles with
API Pennsylvania.

ELIZABETH LEOTY
CRADDOCK

Elizabeth Leoty Craddock, the first
woman to serve as majority staff director
of the U.S. Senate Energy Committee,
has joined Jones Walker LLP's government relations team as special counsel
in the Washington office.
During her time as majority staff
director and legislative director for
U.S. Senator Mary L. Landrieu, DLa., Craddock helped secure passage
for a package of 80+ public lands
bills that had been blocked by more
than three Congresses. Her other accomplishments include the bipartisan
Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities and Revived Economies of the Gulf Coast
(RESTORE) Act of 2012 and the Gulf
of Mexico Energy Security Act
(GOMESA).
After her tenure in the U.S. Senate,
Craddock served as vice president of
government and industry affairs for the
International Association of Drilling
Contractors.
