National Midstream Firm Deploys W Energy Suite
TULSA-W Energy Software announces it has finished deploying its natural gas plant accounting solution for a
major midstream service provider.
The midstream firm owns and operates
natural gas gathering and processing facilities
nationwide, W Energy describes. The client
chose to deploy W Energy's plant processing,
division order and contract management
tools to replace legacy software for tracking
gathering and processing through its plants.
According to W Energy, this legacy software
struggled with plant allocations and other
calculation-intensive tasks and had limitations
that often forced staff to rely on manual,
spreadsheet-based workarounds, which

meant settling each month required significant time and resources.
By switching to modern software, W
Energy says the gas processor has access
to fast processing and audit trails for system calculations, as well as customer
service that matches its extensive operations and growth profile. The software
company mentions that the audit trails
allow the service provider to rapidly back
trace allocations and other complex calculations through every stage, elevating

BP Selects CGG For Work On Three Seismic Projects
PARIS-CGG announces it has been
awarded three major seismic imaging
projects by BP: two from the deepwater
Gulf of Mexico and one from offshore
Trinidad and Tobago.
Using CGG's cloud-powered supercomputing, CGG says imaging specialists
at its Houston subsurface imaging center
will employ compute-intensive, datadriven proprietary algorithms, such as
time-lag full-waveform inversion and
least-squares migration, to ensure timely
delivery of the highest-quality images
to better support renewal and development decisions.

HWCG Contracts Helix In Case Of Gulf Blowout
HOUSTON-Helix Energy Solutions

agreement for response resources with
HWCG LLC, a consortium of operators
and nonoperators in the deepwater Gulf
of Mexico that invests in subsea well
containment capabilities.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN.-Wanner Engineering Inc. has released a line of Hydra-Cell sealless pumps for lease automatic
custody transfer units.
Because the Hydra-Cell pumps separate
the hydraulic end from the fluid end, there
are no seals or packing to leak, wear,
adjust or replace, Wanner says, noting
this reduces downtime, maintenance and

Helix Fast Response System consists of

intervention systems, crude transfer systems and other well control equipment,

HWCG to pay Helix an annual retention
fee, with members receiving a credit
against the fee for every day one of them
utilizes the Q4000 or Q5000.
