The company adds that the acquired
acreage involves no drilling
commitments or obligations and
includes midstream assets, meaning
both production and midstream

5.7% above the five year-average. Gas
storage in the Mountain Region was 17
Bcf more than a year ago.
Gas storage in the Pacific Region was
217 Bcf on April 23, 3.3% above the
five-year average and 23 Bcf more than
the 194 Bcf stored on April 26, which
was 2.6% above the five-year average.
Pacific Region gas storage on Feb. 26
was flat compared with a year ago.
In the South-Central Region, gas
storage levels on April 23 were 816 Bcf,
7.0% below the five-year average and
134 Bcf more than the 749 Bcf in
storage on April 23, which was 4.8%
below the five-year average. The April
23 gas storage level for the SouthCentral Region was down 158 Bcf from
a year ago. ❒

natural gas storage in the United States
stood at 1.898 trillion cubic feet on
April 23, 2.1% below the five-year
average, according to the U.S. Energy
Information Administration. That was
up 134 billion cubic feet from the 1.764
Tcf in storage on March 26, which was
2.0% below the five-year average. The
April 23 storage number was 302 Bcf
lower than a year ago, when gas storage
stood at 2.200 Tcf.
Gas storage in the East Region was
319 Bcf on April 23, 2.1% below the
five-year average, and 12 Bcf more than
on March 26, when storage stood at 307
Bcf, 1.0% below the five-year average.
East Region gas storage on April 23 fell
85 Bcf from a year ago, EIA reports.
Gas storage in the Midwest stood at
427 Bcf on April 23, 3.6% above the
five-year average and 26 Bcf less than
the 401 Bcf in storage on March 26,
which was 1.5% above the five-year
average. April 23 gas storage in the
Midwest was 77 Bcf less than a year
ago.
In the Mountain Region, EIA
continues, gas storage was 119 Bcf on
April 23, 5.3% above the five-year
average and 7 Bcf more than the 112
