Compression Company Opens Marcellus Facility
HOUSTON-Global Compression
Services reports it has opened a 5,000
square foot facility in the heart of the
Marcellus Shale in Washington, Pa.
According to the company, the machine
shop houses a FARO scanning
tool to enable high-quality repair of
Ariel CP valves and a Mazak CNC
lathe for machining the valve, as well
as two manual lathes capable of turning
up to 22 inches in diameter.
The facility will be led by Machine
Shop Foreman Michael J. Fithian, who
has 35 years of experience as a machinist
with more than 20 years repairing
compressors and manufacturing compressor
parts.
" Through the new facility, our equipment
and expertise combine to provide
a new and improved standard for how
equipment is serviced in the Marcellus
Shale, " Fithian says. " We will be able
to repair any compressor part that needs
to be fixed, and we will be strategically
located to partner and expand with our
customers across their entire region of
operation. We expect to bring faster
turnaround times and offer aftermarket
products that provide improved availability
and lower cost options, passing
on significant improvements in run times
and operations. "

facility is at 2827 West Chestnut St. in
Washington, Pa.

To Deploy Suite From W Energy Software
TULSA-Grayson Mill Energy has licensed
W Energy Software's upstream
accounting and land management products,
W Energy Software reports.
The software provider says the products
will help Grayson manage a recent Bakken
acquisition, which includes 242,000 net
acres with entitled production of 48,000
barrels of oil equivalent a day.
