Tenaris Opens Two Plants In Marcellus/Utica Region
HOUSTON-Tenaris reports it has
reopened its manufacturing facilities in
Koppel, Pa., and Ambridge, Pa.
The Koppel steel mill completed commissioning
this summer following a yearlong
investment of $15 million in upgrades,
Tenaris relates, while the Ambridge
site is rolling pipe following a restart in
August. In addition to the two manufacturing
sites, Tenaris notes it operates a
threading facility in Brookfield, Oh.
" Ambridge is back, and our Koppel
mill is producing to feed Ambridge and
our Bay City, Tx., mill with a local supply
of bars for seamless production, " says
Luca Zanotti, Tenaris U.S. president. " The
reactivation of our facilities in the Northeast
gives us greater flexibility to serve our
customers' drilling projects in the different
basins with domestically produced solutions
and a short supply chain. "

Become Parker Wellbore
HOUSTON-Parker Drilling is combining
with subsidiaries Quail Tools and
iTS Energy Services to create Parker
Wellbore. The integrated company says
it plans to expand into new markets, geographies
and sectors to provide advanced
subsurface wellbore construction solutions
for transitioning energy markets.
" Parker Drilling internationally, Quail
Tools in the United States and iTS in Europe
and the Middle East have been recognized
for many years as leading brands in their
respective fields, from drilling rigs and intervention
services to downhole tool and
equipment rental, " says Parker Wellbore
Chief Executive Officer Sandy Esslemont.
" But the time is right to consolidate our
combined offering so new and existing
customers across the subsurface energy
landscape fully benefit from the broad scale
of our integrated capabilities in wellbore
construction. "
In line with its growth, Parker Wellbore
indicates it will deliver its drilling operations
and management services-already established
in the Arctic, Sakhalin Island and
Atlantic Canada-to new offshore locations,
including the North Sea and Gulf of Mexico.

Nova To Buy Compressors
From LMC's Heartland Unit
OKLAHOMA CITY-Nova Compression
LLC, a full-service gas compression
company with operations in Oklahoma,
Texas and Louisiana, says it is poised to
triple its service capacity in under a year.
In February 2021, Nova relates it purchased
compression packages from
Archrock that doubled its total compression
from 40,000 horsepower to 80,000.
In early October, Nova said it was bringing
that total to 120,000 by purchasing the
Oklahoma Rental fleet of compression
packages from Heartland Compression,
a subsidiary of Reserve, La.-based
Louisiana Machinery Co.

To Derisk Subsea Projects
HOUSTON-TechnipFMC and Saipem
announce they have entered a global commercial
agreement that will allow them to
identify projects worldwide that could be
jointly executed for the benefit of clients.
The commercial agreement will pursue
specific projects involving subsea umbilicals,
risers and flowlines (SURF) where
combining the companies' assets, technologies,
products and competencies would
improve project economics and derisk
project development, the partners clarify.

Sercel Secures Big Order For QuietSeis®
PARIS-Sercel has received a contract
to supply land seismic equipment for a
3-D mega-crew survey in North Africa,
CGG reports. The contract includes a
508XT acquisition system with 100,000
QuietSeis®
digital sensors and 20 Nomad
90 Neo broadband vibrator trucks, CGG
details, noting the equipment is expected
to be delivered this year.
The addition of 100,000 digital sensors
confirms increasing industry enthusiasm
for low-noise and high-accuracy sensor
technology, CGG assesses. According to

the company, QuietSeis leads this field
and is the only sensor fully capable of
meeting the industry's expectations for
true broadband seismic.
