Peregrine Purchases
Royalty Interests In
Wyoming's Moxa Arch
DALLAS-Peregrine Energy Partners
has purchased The Carlyle Group's
remaining interests in Hilcorp's Moxa
Arch Field across approximately 1,500
wells for an undisclosed sum.
" We are not looking at this purchase
as a bet on natural gas, but rather an
investment in an area with proven assets
under a solid operator, " comments
Peregrine founder C.J. Tibbs. " We do
feel, however, that as underinvestment
in domestic energy production
continues, assets like these will
continue to become more valuable as
there is increased upward pressure on
the underlying commodity prices. "
Peregrine says the Moxa Arch,
located in the heart of Wyoming's
Green River Basin, spans parts of
Lincoln, Sweetwater, and Uinta
Counties and is primarily operated by
Hilcorp Energy Co. ❒
Gas Storage Levels Down
320 Bcf From A Year Ago

natural gas storage in the United States
stood at 3.623 trillion cubic feet on Nov.
19, 1.6% below the five-year average,
according to the U.S. Energy
Information Administration. That was
up 75 billion cubic feet from the 3.548
Tcf in storage on Oct. 22, which was
3.4% below the five-year average. The
Nov. 19 storage number was 320 Bcf
lower than a year ago, when gas storage
stood at 3.943 Tcf.
Gas storage in the East Region was
889 Bcf on Nov. 19, 0.1% below the
five-year average, and 34 Bcf more than
on Oct. 20, when storage stood at 855
Bcf, 2.3% below the five-year average.
East Region gas storage on Nov. 19 fell
48 Bcf from a year ago, EIA reports.
Gas storage in the Midwest stood at
1.066 Tcf on Nov. 19, 0.8% below the
five-year average and 14 Bcf more than
the 1.052 Tcf in storage on Oct. 22,
which was 1.7% below the five-year
average. Nov. 19 gas storage in the
Midwest was 68 Bcf less than a year ago.
In the Mountain Region, EIA
continues, gas storage was 210 Bcf on
Nov. 19, 4.5% below the five-year
average and 2 Bcf less than the 212 Bcf
stored on Oct. 22, which was 4.1%
below the five year-average. Gas storage
in the Mountain Region was 32 Bcf less
than a year ago.
Gas storage in the Pacific Region was
262 Bcf on Nov. 19, 13.2% below the
five-year average and 7 Bcf more than
the 255 Bcf stored on Oct. 22, which
was 16.4% below the five-year average.
Pacific Region gas storage on Nov. 19
was down 58 Bcf from a year ago.
In the South-Central Region, gas
storage levels on Nov. 19 were 1.197
Tcf, 0.2% above the five-year average
and 53 Bcf more than the 1.144 Tcf in
storage on Oct. 22, which was 2.5%
below the five-year average. The Nov.
19 gas storage level for the SouthCentral
Region was down 114 Bcf from
a year ago. ❒
