IPAA Executive Vice President and
Chief Operating Officer Dan Naatz presented
his group's perspective regarding
the 2022 elections and their potential impacts
on the oil and gas industry. Naatz's
remarks emphasized that the importance
of national elections should not overshadow
local elections' significance. Moreover,
he said, contacting elected officials helps
to expand their perspectives and helps
them better understand their constituents.
After the technical session and dinner,
INOGA awarded Campbell Energy LLC
its Facility of the Year award and Operator
of the Year award for the company's work
on the Ribeyre Island facility in Posey
County, In. When they accepted the
awards, Campbell representatives expressed
their appreciation to the INOGA
Board of Directors and membership.
For its 2022 Hall of Fame class, the
association selected Karen Suey of BiPetro
Inc. and Sherri Moll of CountryMark
Refining and Logistics LLC as the first
women to be inducted into the INOGA
Hall of Fame. Suey and Moll were recognized
for many years of commitment
to the industry and their communities.
INOGA also recognized Michael Nelligan
of CountryMark with a President's
Award for contributing his time and talents
to the success of INOGA events.
The 2022 INOGA Annual Meeting and
Trade show was a great success. The association
continued to build bridges that
hopefully will lead to long-term relationships
and better communication between
organizations. The 2023 INOGA Annual
Meeting and Trade Show is scheduled for
Oct. 12, so members are encouraged to
mark their calendars and plan to attend.
INOGA also will host a virtual series
called Pro Tech Talk throughout 2023, the
first of which was scheduled for Jan. 17.

INOGA also plans to award several
scholarships in early 2023 for Indiana
students studying geology or engineering.

June 9, with proceeds directed to the
scholarship fund.
