Wheeler Makes Progress On Waterflood Program
BENBROOK, TX.-Wheeler Resource
Recovery announces it has broken
ground on its 14th two-well package in
its historically successful waterflood project
in Madison County, Tx.
Drilling Well No. 14 brings Wheeler
across the halfway point for the project,
which the company indicates will involve
27 two-well packages. The company says
it is using a unique five-spot water recovery
process that delivers high returns, keeps
risks low and provides investors with
significant tax deductions.

Madison County waterflood project is on
track to become the best field development
we have completed for our organization
and investors, " comments Kevin Thibeau,
Wheeler's president. " As tax season approaches,

Nabors Introduces Module To Automate Legacy Rigs
HAMILTON, BERMUDA-Nabors
Industries Ltd. has unveiled its Canrig
Red Zone Robotics (RZR) rig floor module,
a modular rig upgrade for automating
routine drilling activities.
In 2021, Nabors and ExxonMobil proved
fully automated land drilling was possible
using Nabors' newbuild R801 robotic
drilling rig, Nabors relates. To show that
modular rig retrofits offer a viable path to
scale drilling rig automation, Nabors says
it has retrofitted an existing rig, X29, with
RZR (pronounced " razor " ) and successfully
has drilled multiple horizontal wells for
ExxonMobil in the Permian Basin.
" Retrofitted automation capabilities,
like what the RZR rig floor offers, are an
efficient way to support safer operations,
increased drilling performance and meaningful
opportunities to upskill our workforce, "
says Jesse Chando, ExxonMobil's
Permian Basin drilling manager.
The International Association of
Drilling Contractors calculates that 64%
of 2021 lost time injuries in the Lower
48 involved the catwalk, pipe rack, rig
floor or derrick, Nabors notes. RZR automates
activities in those areas, clearing
crew members from red zones, Nabors
assures. The company predicts combining
such automation with the same number
of workers will enable it to add incremental
services to its rig platform and provide
more value to customers.

seeks to increase safety and achieve true

Milestone Environmental Services LLC's first facility in New Mexico serves the northern
Delaware Basin. According to the company, the new site can inject used drilling fluids,
flowback, produced saltwater, tank bottoms and other Resource Conservation and Recovery
Act-exempt liquid waste streams. The facility also provides full-service truck washouts.

Waste Disposal Company Opens New Mexico Facility
HOUSTON-Milestone Environmental
Services LLC has opened its first facility
in New Mexico. The waste disposal
site is located southeast of Carlsbad on
NM 128 and Battle Axe Road.
The Battle Axe facility is the first
Milestone location outside Texas and
the first slurry injection waste disposal
facility permitted in New Mexico, Milestone
says. The facility is permitted by
the New Mexico Oil Conservation Division
to inject liquid oil field waste
and manage associated solid waste, the
company reports.
