petition, backed by nearly a million

will give voters a say on a measure that
was rushed through, last minute, with
little review and no scientific backing, "

forces) the state to rely on more
expensive, imported oil that is
completely exempt from California's

KIOGA Returning
To McPherson For
30th Midyear Meeting
TOPEKA, KS.-When members of
the Kansas Independent Oil & Gas
Association gather April 19-21 for the
group's 30th midyear meeting at the
McPherson Community Building in
McPherson, Ks., they will encounter
plenty of opportunities for networking
and education, as well as enjoyment and
competition.
According to KIOGA, the midyear
meeting opens on Wednesday, April 19
with live music from jazz guitarist
William Flynn alongside spirits and
beer tasting featuring Smoky Valley
Distillery and 3 Ring Brewery. A trolley
will run between the event site and
hotels throughout the evening.
