LOOKING AT "AVIATION'S" ACCIDENT RATE IS VERY DIFFERENT
FROM LOOKING AT "GENERAL AVIATION'S" ACCIDENT RATE. IF
YOU BRING THE AIRLINES' HUGE NUMBER OF FLIGHT HOURS AND
EXTREMELY LOW ACCIDENT NUMBERS INTO THE MIX, YOU ARE NOT
GETTING A PICTURE OF THE GA ACCIDENT RATE AT ALL, WHICH IS
REALLY WHAT WE'RE MOST CONCERNED ABOUT HERE.
Lastly-and most importantly-the answer I

I'm still shaking my head about how I fell into that
old way of responding, but I'm clearly used to going
straight into a "defend GA" mode. (I'll blame it on my
