and slip indicator typically is electrically
driven, and the attitude indicator vacuum
driven, the airspeed, altimeter, and VSI are
all static instruments and would be affected
by a clogged static vent. (Pilot's Handbook of

5. The correct answer is B. Only a declared
emergency would allow for priority over all
other traffic, and there are always aircraft
not participating with ATC, so separation
from all traffic is not guaranteed. Compliance with ATC clearances and instructions is
detailed in FAR 91.123.
6. The correct answer is B. When the tower
tells you to contact ground control, you
should contact ground control at that time,
but not before. (Aeronautical Information
Manual 4-3-14[c])
7. The correct answer is C. Both ground
and flight training are required to earn the
endorsement to act as PIC of high-performance airplanes. The regulation does not
specify a minimum time for either, however.

8. The correct answer is B, of course. None
of those are needed to be an airport. According to FAR 1.1, an airport is an area of land
or water that is used or intended to be used
for the landing and takeoff of aircraft, and
includes its buildings and facilities, if any.
