1. The correct answer is B. Up to but not including
18,000 feet msl, pilots should state the separate
digits of the thousands, plus the hundreds. Flying in
the flight levels above 18,000 feet msl, pilots should
state the words " flight level " followed by the separate

to visualize but is nevertheless true. It helps to
consider that an airplane in a 90-degree banked
turn is only pitching (up elevator). In a normal
turn at constant altitude, it is yawing and pitching.
In a climbing or descending turn, it is also rolling.
Try making upward and downward spirals with
a model airplane, and see how it turns about the
longitudinal axis.
7. False. Airspeed has nothing to do with load
factor in a stabilized turn. Whether descending,
climbing or in level flight, G load for a given bank
angle is the same.
8. There is no difference. Pontoon is an
obsolescent word used to describe a float.
9. The southern lights are called aurora

10. True. However, the receiver must not be
required by the aircraft's equipment list, an
airworthiness directive, or a supplemental type
