CLASS E/G AIRSPACE October Pilot Passport: Haunted Heights Challenge Flying in different airspace shouldn't be scary. Class E airspace-also referred to as Class Echo-is controlled airspace, which typically does not have an operating control tower. Flying VFR, you do not need a clearance to enter Class E airspace. Class G airspace is the only " uncontrolled " airspace in the United States. Use the AOPA app's Pilot Passport feature to earn Class E/G airspace badges in October. The top three participants with the most Class E/G airspace badges in October will win an instrument rating online course from Sporty's. The AOPA Pilot Passport Program on the AOPA app encourages pilots to check in at different types of airports; land at airports across your state; visit airports across the country; and share your experiences by rating the airport, uploading photos, and posting comments on social media (use #AOPAPilotPassport in your posts). aopa.org/travel/pilot-passport Looking for more? / AOPA Podcast 4 AOPA PILOT / October 2021http://www.aopa.org/travel/pilot-passport
