SOCIAL MEDIA / Too much fun CAN YOU REALLY ever have too much fun? Well, it does seem unfair that AOPA editors, photographers, and videographers enjoy what we do so much that " work " oftentimes doesn't feel like " work. " Such was the case this month when we had adventures together to create exciting new stories for upcoming issues. It's so nice when you get along with your co-workers who are not only professionals, but friends. Senior Photographer David Tulis, Video Content Producer Brianna Cabassa, and Senior Features Editor Julie Summers Walker had the good fortune to fly along with Denver brewing company FlyteCo on its annual hop run-an organized flotilla of GA aircraft that fly from Erie Municipal Airport (EIK) across the Rockies to Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) to pick up hops at Billy Goat Farms. We participated in the gathering of the hops (smells great!) and then we got to participate in making beer from those fresh hops. Amazing. @sumwalk736 It was an all-hands-on-deck kind of day. The entire AOPA media photo and video crews assembled with Senior Content Producer Ian J. Twombly and a squadron of formation pilots to demo four classic tailwheel airplanes in one day on Maryland's Eastern Shore for an upcoming story to determine which aircraft is best. The winner? You'll have to stay tuned. @dtulis @flywithaopa 104 AOPA PILOT / December 2024
