Personalities n The Board of Trustees of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey has elected Dorothy W. Cantor, PsyD, its vice chair. Cantor is the president of the American Psychological Foundation and served as APA president in 1996. n The Hudson Valley Psychological Association has awarded David A. Crenshaw, PhD, with its Lifetime Achievement Award for his more than 43 years of service to the Hudson Valley Community. Crenshaw leads a court-based dog-therapy program for child witnesses of domestic violence at the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie. n Lauren Fasig, PhD, JD, is the new director of APA’s Children, Youth, and Families Office. She joins APA after serving as director of research at the Center on Children and Families at University of Florida Levin College of Law. Before that, she served as director of policy and communications at the Society for Research and Child Development. n Joseph B. Hellige, PhD, has been named Loyola Marymount University’s new executive vice president and provost. Hellige came to LMU in 2007 as the inaugural vice president for research and dean of graduate studies. He has served as senior vice president for academic affairs and chief academic officer since 2010. n The University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education has named David A. Wagner, PhD, as United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization Chair in Learning and Literacy. Wagner is a professor of education at the university and has directed its Literacy Research Center since 1983.
