Foundation for the Future Message from the Foundation President Make an Investment in the Profession’s Future The 2011 APMA Educational Foundation’s Annual Giving Campaign got off to a great start last month at our House of Delegates (HOD). Corporate partner CrocsRx offered a matching grant of $25,000 for a fifth year in a row, which set the tone, and the HOD was up to the task! Our delegates and state components responded by pledging $45,000 in donations. Many delegates and components gave more than their every donation will go towards 2011 student scholarship awards. Included in this edition of APMA News is a campaign donor form, brochure, and reply envelope for your convenience in mailing (or faxing) your annual contribution to the foundation in support of our students. As a small token of our appreciation, each donor will receive a pin. We hope you will wear this pin while in attendance at various podiatric medical meetings held across the country to show your support for our students and encourage others to give back. For more information about our past and current donors, I encourage you to read the next several pages, Michael gave a firsthand account of the importance of the scholarship and how it helped him with his school expenses. Michael gave a firsthand account of the importance of the scholarship and how it helped him with his school expenses. He emphasized how today’s support is an investment in the future of our profession. Although we are off to a great start, we won’t be able to make our goal and provide more than 175 student scholarship awards this August without your support. As with last year’s campaign, 100 percent of 10 APMA News May 2011 Michael Crawford makes his appeal at the 91st House of Delegates meeting. which include information about our foundation, stories highlighting major donors who generously supported the 2011 campaign to date, a 2010 memorial and honor list, the complete endowment benefactor list, and a simple donor chart that outlines the many ways we can all provide support to our foundation in addition to cash gifts.
