Affiliates Corner ACFAP Thanks Tetra Corp. for Generous Grant The American College of Foot and Ankle Pediatrics (ACFAP) thanks the Tetra Corporation, makers of Formula 3, for its generous unrestricted grant to ACFAP. The check was presented at the pediatric track of the 2012 APMA Annual Scientific Meeting (The National) in Washington, DC, in August. ACFAP representatives who attended the presentation were Richard Jay, DPM; Louis DeCaro, DPM; Patrick DeHeer, DPM; Edwin Harris, DPM; and Ron Raducanu, DPM. ACFAP could not continue its mission of education without the help of supportive companies such as the Tetra Corporation. n AAWP Elects New Board Members The American Association for Women Podiatrists (AAWP) held its annual meeting during the 2012 APMA Annual Scientific Meeting (The National) in Washington, DC, in August. The AAWP elected the following podiatrists to its board of trustees: President Erika Schwartz, DPM; First Vice President Alison Garten, DPM; Second Vice President Aparna Duggirala, DPM; Treasurer Karen Langone, DPM; and Secretary Elizabeth Bass, DPM. Conenello, DPM, a sports medicine podiatrist in private practice in Orangeburg, NY, was elected president of the association. Dr. Conenello received his DPM degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
