Website Wisdom Residency Education Resource Center Expands The Residency Education Resource Center (REdRC) is an online educational resource designed to supplement the didactic experiences residents participate in as part of their residency programs. REdRC offers quality lectures from experts in a ﬂexible online format that busy residents can access on the go. REdRC now includes lectures for both first- and second-year residents. (Lectures for third-year residents will be available in 2014.) Most lectures are followed by a brief quiz designed to test the resident’s understanding of the lecture information. All lectures are based on CPME competencies for podiatric resident education and training. Website FAQ Does APMA have membership data, studies, and surveys I can access online? Yes! APMA conducts many surveys and studies throughout the year. This information can be found in the Studies and Membership Data section under APMA Working for You. This section includes the results of APMA’s surveys of the general public on various health topics, such as heel pain and diabetes. It also includes the APMA-commissioned Thomson Reuters study and the related Duke University study on care by podiatrists for patients with diabetes, as well as results of APMA’s podiatric practice surveys. Residency directors have access to the lectures and can track the activity and progress of their residents. Lectures are designed to stimulate discussion among residents and training faculty at the residency site. REdRC subscriptions are only available to residents who are APMA members.
