Affiliates Corner AAWP Awards Student Scholarships The American Association for Women Podiatrists (AAWP) is pleased to award Founders Scholarships of $500 each to Jacqueline Chen, Kayla Emter, Tarin Krzywosinski, and Ashley Mastrangelo. All scholarship recipients must be third-year students and maintain a GPA greater than 3.0. Jacqueline Chen has been an active AAWP student chapter member since her freshman year at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM). The chapter has conducted many successful meetings about practice management and organized events for the charity Dress for Success. Chen is president of TUSPM Sports Medicine Club and is involved in many community service organizations. Kayla Emter is the current president of the AAWP Student Chapter at Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery and also has served as secretary of the club. The numerous community service events she has organized in her capacity with AAWP in- clude Dress for Success, providing childcare at a women’s shelter, a prom dress drive, Juvenile Diabetes Walk team participation, senior health fair participation, and several events at a Ronald McDonald House. Tarin Krzywosinski is the current president of the AAWP Student Chapter at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. In this capacity, she organizes fundraisers and reaches out to other student organizations to cohost educational and practice management events with members of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management student chapter. Ashley Mastrangelo is the current president of the AAWP Student Chapter at TUSPM and has held that position for the past two years. She was instrumental in re-establishing the chapter. In this capacity, she has restored regular meetings of the chapter and conducted academic and social events for students and faculty and organized Dress for Success events.
