modalities including shock wave therapy,
ultrasound, plantar pressure analysis, and
other evolving modalities is a plus.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Run a high-volume general podiatric outpatient practice in a growing, nationally
recognized Foot & Ankle Program at
MGH.
* Must be able to work closely with a multidisciplinary team including foot and ankle
orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists,
fellows, residents, and students.
* Demonstrate a willingness to conduct
and interest in podiatric research and
publication.
* Provide outpatient clinical care at a variety of MGH locations, including: MGH
Main Campus (Boston), MGH/NWH Foot
& Ankle Center (Waltham, MA), and
affiliated MGH Health Centers.
* Share on-call coverage on a rotating basis
with the other members of the Podiatry
Division.
* Participate in inpatient consults.
* Participate in weekly meetings and academic conferences.

unique, full-time associate position available
for late summer/early fall in the Philadelphia
suburbs. A solo practice is seeking a
highly motivated, extremely well-trained
surgical podiatrist. The candidate must be
able to perform any foot and ankle surgical
procedure including elective, traumatic,
and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.
They must have mastery of foot and ankle
biomechanics and be able to recognize
abnormal foot and ankle positional, structural,
and functional conditions. They must be able
to treat these underlying pathomechanical
p ro b l e m s w i t h b o t h c o n v e n t i o n a l a n d
surgical methods, if indicated. They will be
responsible to immediately see more than
100 patients per week and be able to cover
the clinic at least five days per week. Surgery
time is available up to twice per week at two
local hospitals. They will take call for their
respective patients on a daily basis and may
apply for ER call at both hospitals, if desired.
They must be courteous and respectful to
both their patients and the staff at Wiemer
Family Podiatry. Some in-office surgery is
also available if desired as we do have a
surgical suite complete with electro-cautery, a
pneumatic ankle tourniquet, a surgical chair,
and a C-arm machine. We do work closely
with an interventional cardiology group that
performs both arterial and venous procedures
on our patients with underlying diseases, and
some office space may be available one day
per week at their Philadelphia clinic. This is
a great opportunity for the correctly trained
surgical podiatrist. Three-year residency
required, four-year residency preferred.
