This web-based product would serve as a one-stop resource for young physicians, providing specific information to help guide them through residency and into the early years of establishing themselves in practice. A Your APMA is supported through a generous educational grant from Spenco Medical by Implus. Editor Design Will Scott; wpscott@apma.org Suzanne Kleinwaks Design APMA IS SOCIAL: ARE YOU? PMA is thrilled to announce that the YPTS is now live! It was introduced at the APMA 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting (The National) and received an overwhelmingly positive response. Visit www.apma.org/YPTS to see what your organization has created for you. The YPTS has five tabs containing vital information for each step in your career. The sections are: * First-year residents; * Second-year residents; * Third-year residents; * Practice years 1-4; and * Practice years 5-7. The simple navigation allows you to easily locate the information you need to know right now but also lets you get a peek at what you @APMA www.facebook.com/APMAmembers www.youtube.com/user/TheAPMA www.linkedin.com/company/apma-official www.pinterest.com/TheAPMA will need to learn a few years down the road. It is universally useful and accessible for all APMA young physicians. One of the driving forces behind the creation of the YPTS was APMA's 2017 brand audit. The results demonstrated that young physicians perceive less value in APMA membership than more established members and noted the demographic feels the organization does not provide the resources they need to thrive. One of the three recommendations adopted by the APMA Board of Trustees seeks to address this issue by creating more and more relevant resources for young physicians. Following the brand audit, APMA extensively surveyed the membership in general and young physicians specifically regarding their educational needs. The data laid out what sorts of topics and materials APMA should make available, and how they should be delivered. The YPTS is the first step toward synthesizing those data to address that gap and will only grow from here. What exists within the site now is a consolidation of resources already available through APMA.org. Plans are in place to create or obtain resources for the other topics identified in the educational needs survey. The YPTS is meant to be a living repository of information for starting your career. You will play a pivotal role in its growth and success. APMA wants your feedback on what is there, what is missing, and what you can contribute. Share your experiences with starting a practice or contract negotiation. Tell your colleagues what it is like to find your second job after a few years in the field. Let us know what resources would be most valuable to you now and in the future. Send your reactions to Tiffany Kildale, APMA career development manager, at takildale@apma.org. We look forward to hearing from you and to sharing the continuing evolution of this exciting new project.http://www.APMA.org http://www.apma.org/YPTS http://www.facebook.com/APMAmembers http://www.youtube.com/user/TheAPMA http://www.linkedin.com/company/apma-official http://www.pinterest.com/TheAPMA
