Education for the Whole Practice
Your support team will benefit from coming to Salt Lake City
this summer as The National will once again host the Podiatric
Medical Assistants' Educational Program.
The assistants' program combines team learning with tracks
specific to their role in the office. Your staff will join you for
breakfast symposia and plenary lectures, which will provide
them with valuable knowledge and clinical background on
common conditions seen in the exam room. Additionally, as
many assistants handle digital marketing initiatives, the Risk
Management Program provides important information about
protecting patient data.
Outside of joint sessions, assistants will learn about topics
important to their function within the practice. Lectures cover a
range of subjects from total contact casting and post-op surgical
complications to patient communication and medical marketing. It is a unique opportunity for assistants to learn from clinical experts as well as gain insight from their peers by talking
through common experiences.

In the exhibit hall, assistants will have ample time to help
you improve your practice efficiency and patient care by interacting with vendors and evaluating the latest tools and resources. Depending on your practice set-up, your assistants
may interact with sales reps more than you do, so these networking opportunities can pay dividends in the future.
Just as you will be earning up to 28 CECH toward maintaining your license, assistants can earn up to 28 CECH toward their Podiatric Medical Assistant, Certified (PMAC) credential. That amount more than covers the 20 CECH required
per year! Assistants not yet certified can sit for the PMAC
administrative or clinical exams during The National. Visit
