A $35.00 subscription to APMA News is
included in the annual membership dues of
APMA. Subscriptions are unavailable to nonmembers who are eligible for membership.

are $75.00 prepaid; foreign subscriptions are
$100.00 prepaid. Single copies are $10.00
prepaid. Remittances should be made payable

President's Message

New Beginnings
As spring unfolds and I embark on my presidency, I'm reflecting on new
beginnings. At APMA, June 1 is the beginning of our membership cycle-a new
year for our members and our association. This year, we'll introduce exciting new
benefits for our members (more information to come soon!) and enhance some
current benefits.
The Coding Resource Center (CRC) celebrates its 10th anniversary this year
and has added new tools. We've streamlined the search function for Correct Coding Initiative edits, adding the ability to narrow the search to only the two codes
of interest. We've also added a 2019 MIPS tab that allows members to easily and
quickly find the codes associated with the MIPS Quality measures that podiatrists
use most frequently.
As always, members receive a steep discount for this invaluable resource-
you pay half the nonmember subscription price. In my home state, the Utah Podiatric Medical Association considers the CRC so critical to its members' success
that it has signed on to provide every member in Utah with a CRC subscription.
Speaking of Utah, APMA members also enjoy deep discounts to attend our
Annual Scientific Meeting (The National). If you haven't registered already, I
encourage you to do so today. This year's meeting takes place July 11-14 in Salt
Lake City. I look forward to welcoming you to my own backyard for this incredible event, which covers the full gamut of podiatric medicine and surgery. It's truly the meeting for every podiatrist, and it grows and improves
every year. This year, we have another new addition: the option to attend for
the weekend only! If a four-day meeting is too much time away from your practice, register to attend Saturday and Sunday only and enjoy the Harry Goldsmith,
DPM, Memorial Coding Seminar, an important MIPS update, the oral abstracts and poster abstracts symposium, the third annual Podiatry School
